The best red wine vinegar
I have tried quite a few different brands of red wine vinegar, but this one is definitely the best. It's gorgeous as a dip on its own, with lovely fresh, home-made bread, is superb in rich tomato sauces to accompany pasta or meatballs, is gorgeous in dressings for salads & makes unctuous gravies. The flavour is deep & round without overpowering everything else in your dish. It is not cheap, but neither is it too expensive. It is, however, worth every penny of its ten pounds.

Mas Portell Merlot Vinegar.
Like their Moscatel Vinegar, Mas Portell's Merlot vinegar is in a different class from other red wine vinegars. Even my French son-in-law finds my vinaigrettes delicious now!
