The Anne of Green Gables Cookbook: Charming Recipes from Anne and Her Friends in Avonlea

I did an Anne of Green Gables themed party for a friend and used a couple of these recipes. The chocolate caramels were amazing, the shortbread was my best ever and the macaroons were a big hit. And I got the idea to use book-related names for the food items and for the chalkboard menus. Very thoughtful gift for the right person.

This book was purchased for my granddaughter’s upcoming 8th birthday and I can’t wait to present it to her, along with an Anne of Green Gables book and the cut-out paper dolls book. It’ll be hard to decide what to prepare first! I’ve already read through the entire book and the recipes and tips are very suitable for beginner cooks! The illustrations throughout are just lovely! I will be ordering another copy that will stay at my house for any other granddaughters that come my way, and I do hope there will be many!!

I LOOOOVVVEEE THIS COOKBOOK!! So fun and cute I have made so many recipes including the orange angel cake it it was very exquisite and delicious!! All the recipes are easy to understand and come out just like the picture shows!

We threw an Anne party and made the raspberry cordial and liniment cake - both were SO good! And the remaining recipes look amazing! Beautiful book and it made an amazing gift!

Bought this as a gift for my wife who loves both Anne of Green Gables and is an accomplished cook. She was very happy with the recipes and found them practical and relevant for today, not requiring any unusual or hard to find cooking ingredients. The book is very well done and has the added bonus of being written by a granddaughter of LM Montgomery which brings a touch of 'Anne' and her life into the material. This is a great gift for any Anne aficionado or cook.

This book is fantastic. It has great recipies in it. It also includes pages with quotes from the book and pictures that look like they are out of the book. Recipes are ordered by book they come from with and include a picture of the finished product. I am so happy with this purchase to add to my collection!

This cookbook is absolutely beautiful. It’s on display at my house. If you know Anne Of Green Gables, inside and out like I do, you need this book. Each recipe is unique to a story in the Anne series, and tells you exactly where the recipe is from. It brings the book and characters to life even more !

Beautiful book. Gorgeous illustrations and photos. This book is sweet, charming and whimsical, full of beautiful details. Great quality. Anyone who grew up with Anne like I did will appreciate this cookbook. I can't wait to read Anne of Green Gables with my kids and make some of the recipes in this book and have an old fashioned tea party.

This is a really lovely gift for any Anne of Green Gables fan. The recipes are beautifully presented, including a quotation from Anne with each. Thankfully the ingredients are listed in grams as well as the American cups. There are both sweet and savoury treats. My 7 year old daughter and I made chocolate caramels today (fudge) and I'm looking forward to trying out all of the others. Making these dishes will add an extra dimension to my next reading of Anne of Green Gables.

Beautiful book. Cannot wait to actually cook/bake these recipes which look mouthwatering and scrumptious!Update: I have made the cordial and that was lovely. Unfortunately my chocolate caramels turned into stone...I followed every step and tirelessly stirred for 30 minutes but it didn't turn out.

I bought this for my daughter's 20th birthday, we're AoGG & AwaE fans so this was a great present. The recipes look and sound amazing - yet to cook them- but we're certain we'll love them as they're LM Montgomery's recipes from the novels and we love the look and sound of all Marilla's culinary comfort foods

This is such a lovely cook book. Not too complicated but just filled with homey traditional, comforting & quaint recipes. I bought one as a gift for a friend but ended up buying myself a copy too. I'm allergic to dairy & egg but this is easily adaptable.
