Nice and sturdy and holds a heavy phone easily.

This phone holder has an ingenious design. It is custom designed for my particular car's dash, which happens to be a 2016 Honda Civic. It attaches to the space BETWEEN the air vent so that my phone does not block airflow. That's important to me. Also, it snaps into place onto the dash, right over the emergency flasher button. It still gives me 100% access to my emergency flasher. It does not block access to the flasher. It snaps securely onto the dash without relying on suction or adhesive. This is because, again, it is custom-made for my particular vehicle. Finally, the most ingenious thing, I think, is the way it is designed to hold my phone. It is spring loaded with a release button in the middle. You simply place your phone between the plastic "fingers" that hold the phone, and push on your phone which engages the button in the middle, This button releases the spring that is holding the fingers open and they close securely around the phone. When you are ready to go you just push on the button on the right and the spring engages again to hold the fingers open. It is a one-handed operation. My only complaint is that there were no instructions. I had to play with it to figure out how to use it. But, I quickly figured it out. At first, when I placed the holder over the flasher between the air vents it fit nicely but it wouldn't stay in place. Then I tired pushing on it with some force and suddenly it clicked securely into place. So, hopefully that will help you. You have to use some force to get it to snap into place. This phone holder is 5 out of 5 stars folks!

I’ve bought a zillion phone holder devices over the years and this is hands-down my favorite. The materials and build quality are outstanding. The mounting base grips between layers of the dash almost magically and holds the phone rock-steady at the perfect level. The grips is made of a really nice metal alloy with high quality rubber tastefully tucked inside the edges and the mechanism is super clever to the point where it’s actually delightful to use. Whoever designed this thing deserves an award. If you have a late-model CX-30 choosing this holder is a no-brainer. Do it.

I'd given up trying to use car phone holders because, quite frankly, they usually suck. They are usually cheaply made and often cover up a perfectly good AC vent or take up a cup holder. It's also hard for me to find one that fits my Note 9 phone with its thick and heavy Defender Otter Box. However, I saw this design and was intrigued because it goes over the Hazzard button that sets BETWEEN the two middle dashboard vents - not covering either vent at all. Then it said it could fit a phone of my size - Otter Box and all. Seemed too good to be true... Then I read some reviews where people said it was cheaply made and broke when they tried to mount it to their car. Still, I decided to give it a try.One, the quality is NOT cheap. This is actually the highest-quality phone cradle I've ever used.Two, this was SO EASY to mount. If you have to push it hard, then it doesn't fit your car. The base plate should snap right into place without applying much pressure at all and without any looseness or wobbling. It took about 1 minute to assemble the ball joint to the cradle and the cradle to the mount. Easy peasy!Then, the moment of truth... Would the phone actually fit? Would the phone be too heavy to stay upright in the cradle? All of my worries were for not - it fits perfectly! The jaws are at their maximum width for sure, but it fits and fits without scratching or pulling on the otter box. The ball joint system is secure while allowing me to easily turn the phone from vertical to horizontal and forward and aft holding any angled position flawlessly. I could not be happier.If you have a 2019 Rogue SV (or any other car that it says it will fit), give this phone holder a chance. It works great for me and my bulky, heavy phone and it might work for you too.

How am I supposed to connect these pieces together? Oh wait it's THE WRONG PIECE.Though the custom fitting between the vents does sit rather snug.5/16 edit. Sent it back for a replacement, got the original one back only this time it had the correct parts. They replaced the mount plate as well.Still fits rather snug.Unfortunately with the button placement on my phone I have to have it sit in a specific way or it holds them down messing with the phone. Not sure how I feel about this.

Love it because it has an attachment that clips to the center of the vent area and provides a stable connection/base for the phone. Love it!

Snaps in between the two center AC vents and secures your phone securely. Looks like it was an option from the factory and matches the color of the interior. It works better than the other holders that attach to the windshield or the AC vent find. Only time will tell how long it will last.

I was looking for a mount that did not use a sticky glue, covered my vents, or required any cutting into the dashboard. This one simply clips in place and holds my phone well. You push up the middle clip up with your thumb to detach the phone. To mount it, you push the phone against the back plate and the top clamp comes down and holds the phone. The mechanism was stiff at first but slightly bending the bottom tab in a little freed it up. Also, I have a MagSafe case and charger attached and it has just enough clip length to securely hold the phone. I could not be more pleased. I hope one day they make a MagSafe mount to attach to the ball. That would be even better for me.
