Using this on my BMW i3 - charges the car with no issues; I have solar installed at home so this was a great option for me as I can reduce the amperage so that it is roughly equal to the solar being generated.This way I'm paying literally nothing to charge my car during the midday hours of the day April-SeptYou have to set the amperage before you start charging (charging must be stopped if you want to re-adjust the current).I went for this as it was just SO MUCH cheaper than wall mounted options.Just remember not to use 10 or 13 amp settings on old wiring/sockets, you really need a high quality socket and wiring to handle the higher power ratings for a sustained period.I also like the bag and banding - much more premium feeling than other suppliers.

Having no charge point I was very concerned about how to keep the car topped up... Went to charge at McDonald's and the cost was 69p /kWh plus a burger and coffee. Used this at home and the cost was 12p / kWh. Fully charged from 50% overnight for less than £6 what's not to like... I now charge every night ( Octopus cheap rate) to keep topped up. Only downside is the delay feature only counts down full hours, would've been better to be able to delay to the 1/2 hour.

I must say, I am quite disappointed with the 3-pin EV charger, and I have encountered several issues with its performance and design.Firstly, the optional current selection feature seems confusing and not very user-friendly. The need to manually adjust the current from 6A to 13A using buttons can be cumbersome, especially for users who are not well-versed in technical details. This lack of simplicity makes it less intuitive and accessible for everyday use.Despite claims of being a smart charger, I found the real-time monitoring of smart chips to be unreliable. The screen display of voltage, current, and charging time often provided inaccurate readings, making it challenging to gauge the actual charging status. Additionally, the memory function, which should remember the last AMP charged, often failed to do so, leading to repeated adjustments every time I used the charger.Furthermore, the build quality of the charger is not up to par. While it claims to have comprehensive protection against various faults, I encountered issues with the plug locking mechanism. It was prone to detaching and even theft, which posed a security risk for my electric vehicle.The cable's supposed flexibility and wear resistance were underwhelming. The cable showed signs of wear and tear after a short period of use, which is concerning for a product claiming to be sturdy and designed for long-lasting use.Moreover, the charger's compatibility with European standards did not live up to its claims. Despite adhering to the 62196-2 standard, it did not fit some European electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles properly, leaving me unable to charge my vehicle with this charger.The 3-pin EV charger failed to meet my expectations in terms of ease of use, reliability, and build quality. The confusing current adjustment, unreliable monitoring, and compatibility issues make it a less-than-ideal choice for an EV charger.

I have used this charger a few times now and it is easy to use and on the 10v setting it doesn't get hot. Very happy with it and great for the price

Easy to use, looks sturdy, clear instructions. All these cables on the market are on the expensive side for now.
