My brilliant little cat (7 pounds) was on it immediately. Loves it. Only caveat would be that regardless of how much weight this will hold, it is for small cats only. Larger cats, 10 plus pounds, won't have room to do anything other than sit straight up.

The suction cups on this are superior to any of the others i have purchased. Rather than relying on standard suction cups, these attach flat to the window and then as you turn the nob, the cup center pulls away, creating the suction. This also comes with Two EXTRA cups! Also, most of the window seats come with a removable cover that is either not close-able (and slips off the frame) or doesn't use enough Velcro at the closure and eventually slips off. This one was multiple snaps that keep it secure and make it easy to take off for cleaning. the size is good and fits a standard medium crate bed (my cats like the extra cushion and the sides of the beds on their seats) and is a good size for even my 23lb cat.Follow up: i want to follow up that the crank down suction cups did stop working. i tried the warm water trick but they just wont hold any more. Florida heat being what it is i'm still very disappointed. It looks like the company may have changed the suction cups, it the pictures on the item are anything to go by and i may have to buy another one and see if the issue is resolved with the new cups.

my cats love this. my apartment has these super huge windows and so my cats are always sitting on my desk so they can look outside. this meant I could never use my desk because it "belongs to the cats." this window seat has proven to be an acceptable offering to the cats, so I can now use my desk again. it is really only big enough for one cat, so I will probably end up buying another one in the future.however, one of the suction cups never seems to want to stay put. ever. so thankfully there were two extra ones and those both work. all the other suction cups seem to be working perfectly and have not yet come off. another issue is that there is a missing piece of one of the snaps. it doesnt affect the use or its sturdiness so it doesnt realllyy matter, however one of the snaps is technically broken.

Update: see picture. Made changes for this item to be safe for the fur babies. They love it and I love it since it now function appropriate and safely!!!It’s a great item if it would stick to the window (I even cleaned window and used a light wipe of water to get it to suction and stick-worked until it dried; then falls) so I am adding extension chains and hooks to window to hold it in place for safety and support and will clap latches to the cables that are on the bed.So as far as I am concerned this product does not work as stated. And must advise folks of possible injury to your animals if it falls while pet is in it :/

I'm a realtor and I recently helped some amazing home buyers find the perfect home for their family in Houston. They relocated from out of state and their cat was having trouble adjusting to their new neighborhood. I always get personalized closing gifts as I learn more about my clients and I saw this cat bed on amazon a few weeks ago. When I gave them the cat perch, their cat Oscar fell in love almost immediately. It took us just a couple of minutes to put the cat bed together and then Oscar took a few mins to sniff, lick, purr, and explore the cat bed. The product is sturdy and seems to be made very well. Even with Oscar hanging out on it most of the day, it looks like it will last for a long time.In fact, my clients called me a couple days ago and told me that Oscar is the most popular cat on their block as their new neighbors love watching Oscar watch them as they go on walks in the neighborhood. Oscar is happy (and finally liking his new city) and my clients were so surprised with this unique gift and might have loved it even more than Oscar lol. I'm definitely buying more of these for my clients with cats as Oscar's parents have already raved to me to their other co-workers moving to town.

I had a different brand of this hammock and moved to a new apartment and cannot use it because my windows are too narrow. It took me some searching to find this and I love it! The hammock part is sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. Of course, since this is a new apartment, neither of my cats have checked it out yet, but they will. This is a good quality cat hammock.ONE YEAR LATER: I downgraded to 1 star after giving 5 originally. My cat LOVED this hammock. I had purchased 2 but only put one up in the window. The metal/plastic loop broke and I didn't know how to fix it and the company did not get back to me after emailing them several times. This happened less than a year after purchase. Because my cat loves this thing so much, I took the new one out of the package and set it up in the same spot. It was there for about two months and then, I had to move. I put it in the window, and now, 3 of the 4 suction cups no longer hold. I cleaned the window and the cups and tried vaseline, but they just will not stay in place after being moved out of the last window. I want to buy new suction cups, but THEY COMPANY DOESN'T GET BACK TO ME.

I love this perch. It helps reduce the need for bulky cat furniture, especially in a smaller living space. The suction cups hold securely to glass, and my cat loves this spot both to sun bathe and to keep on my/her territory.It was definitely a struggle to stretch and snap the material over the pvc frame. I had to have a second person hold the fabric and help to pre-stretch it, and even then I had to muscle the snaps closed. I'm a strong guy, and I can't imagine how a smaller/weaker person could easily do this without help. I contemplated using a hacksaw to trim a fraction of an inch off of the longer frame pipes so that I could attach the fabric easier. This is the only reason for the 4 stars. Construction of this was very straightforward...just difficult. YMMV. That said, once the snaps were fastened, this sucker isn't going anywhere, and none of them have ever come undone
