Works well for severe dry eyes
Really helps with my dry eyes. Sometimes I’ll even use it during the day.It is a thicker gel style ointment, so it can make it a little difficult to see for a little while after application. I would keep that in mind and only use it during times when you are able to have your vision slightly impaired. It has a tube style applicator instead of a bottle because of the gel like consistency of the ointment. It can be a little difficult to get a small dose because the tube wants to push out a lot of ointment even with a small amount of pressure. It’s kind of expensive but worth it. I alternate with other drops to make them last longer.

Nighttime gel, also use during the day
I sliced my eye with my own fingernail one day when I was going to push my glasses up. Worst pain imaginable! Went through 3 years of a healing process because the wound kept ripping back open with my dry eyes in the morning. I've tried just about every drop imaginable. This nighttime gel is the best and helps me the most through the healing process. I also used it during the day. Expect a bit of burry vision for the first few minutes but it clears up. It's a very small tube but it last a while. Would recommend 10/10!

Dry eyes need this
This is an absolute must for me with my dry eyes. I feel it does better than regular eyedrops. But I only use at night. It is easy to use but you do have to be careful about how much you push on the tube because a lot can come out. You don’t need too much. It is effective in relieving dryness in my eyes. definitely would recommend.

Easy to use
I recently had Lasik and the doctor recommended using this before bed. The texture is very odd. You have to put it on right as you go to bed and I recommend using an eye mask so you do not stay in your pillowcase. It did help with the dryness. I woke up with last dryness than regular drop. Red Dry eyes need your immediate attention!
Night time is a good time to lubricate your dry eyes. I live in the desert and Dry Eye is really a problem. Trying to find a night time lubricant in a tube is proving difficult at Target and drug stores. My latest eye exam specified using this form and after several unsuccessful trips to find it, Amazon came to my rescue. I'm dismayed to find how expensive a tiny little tube is and wonder how long it will last before I need to put myself on a regular shipping order.

This product really helps, although it can only be used when going to bed. Very sticky. I bought the eye drops for daytime use.

Perfect nighttime protection for your corneas
I've been using Systane and other brands' eyedrops for over fifteen years now. Systane's Nighttime ointment was something recommended by my ophthalmologist. My corneas had been badly scratched, so to keep the surfaces protected during the night, I've been using this ointment with great success. Recommended!

Not the most solidified nighttime ointment, very drippy
I’ve been using this overnight eye ointment after lasik surgery, as advised by my eye surgeon. He did not recommend a particular brand so this one was on sale.I find the Systane ointment is hard to get into my eye. The tube pushes a lot out, so to get it in my lower eyelid without touching it and keeping it sterile is not really possible. Once I get it in one eye, my hand is already slippery from the first eye when trying to get it into my other eye. Extra ointment oozes out of the tube and then once the lid is on, creates a problem for the next night. Plus by the time I get the second eye done, the first eye has ointment dripping out.It seems like this ointment breaks down and becomes super liquidy really quickly. I had a different brand previously and it was much more congealed, as in I could get it in both eyes without it dripping out before I can even turn off the light and go to bed.It does seems to hydrate so I’ll put this tube in my overnight travel bag and get another tube of my preferred ointment for my house use.I prefer the Optase Hylo Night ointment better than this Systane.
