Pilgrimages to the Holy Land were fundamental to the Christian faith but made increasingly difficult with the rise of Islam. Ultimately, the Crusades were organized to liberate the Holy Land. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored, on modern sterling silver chain. 1 9/16" tall.
