Quality Product from a Great Company: Networking Underdogs
I originally owned a previous version of this amazing ALFA USB Wireless device. For whatever reason, I believe it was a power overload during a storm, the device stopped working. I did own it for around 3 years at this point, and I was happy that it lasted as long as it didetThis device supports packet injection, making it great for stress-testing in the field of Internet Security. It has a very long range (I re-used my 9dbi antenna that came packaged with the previous device I own), and this proves to be very useful when in areas that your router might not be able to reach, like your backyard. This device does not support 802.11AC, which is fine, I actually use another device (The ALFA AC1200, or AWUS036AC found here: http://amzn.to/2b6wHcV) as my speed booster, however, my router only supports the 2.4GHz band, which is find as my DL speeds are 5x what they used to be regardless. If you're looking for a quality networking product with extra functionality, I would recommend this. You can use it to more closely monitor your connections (with easy using either Linux or Windows tools), connect from a distance, and my personal favorite, use it to get the correct WiFi drivers when installing a new Linux Distro. The Atheros 9K driver (ath9k) is a FOSS driver that allows any modern Linux distribution to gain access to your WiFi, where you can install the correct drivers in order to get your onboard WiFi working.Very high-quality product! Recommended for home use, networking stress testing use, and computer enthusiast use to allow you to further understand networking via the functionality of this device. For the price, you might as well get the other item I linked, however, this one allows the packet injection required for the added network functionality. I hope this review helps you decide whether or not this is the right device for you.

Great for Linux compatbility
Simply just works with Linux 4.8.0 / Ubuntu 16.10, no installation and no problems in essentially 24/7 use for days now.ath9k is a solid choice and a manufacture advertising what actual chipset was used is worth supporting! The blue LED is too bright, though.Region set seems to be GB, as other reviews said. Works with Linux
Best adapter I've used on Linux, supports monitor mode and doesn't require any extra installation, I did have to install drivers for Windows though. Great adapter with great range and compatibility.
