Received product today and put it through the grind on about a dozen different knives. Worked as expected. The 1 fail was on an old boning knife with a very beat up edge that looked like bumps more than edge under a 5x magnifier. Worked that one knife for an hour. That 1 knife will require a reshaping for resharpening, then honing. Product will serve as well as touch up honer and earned a place in my kitchen. I am a culinary grad and ex chef in my initial career. Respects and Peace to all.

The instructions, if you want to call them that, are horrible. The product just ruined my fillet knife. It did not sharpen my scissors, so I stopped while I was somewhat ahead. Yes I did it right, one way only not back and forth. Yes I used the right slot, which are hard to detect since the arrow on the rotary blade selector is the same color as the rotation device. This product really needs a lot of work. Stay away from this.

I bought this specifically to sharoen serrated knives. But it does nothing for the serrated edge of the regular cutlery knives which were never really sharp to begin with. I am sure that it will help with the bread knife once that dulls. I haven't really tried out the other angles since i just sharpened my knives recently, but if it adds knicks, I will definitely update this review.

I purchased this item as it had the functionality to sharpen scissors. However, it does not function well with any of the scissors i have tried it on. Most scissor sharpeners have slots to do both parts at the same time, but this one does no.

My husband needed a new knife sharpener so I got him this one. He's used it several times and says that it is easy to use and puts the edge back on the knife very well. It's an interesting looking device at any rate and I'm glad it's red since we are constantly misplacing things and bright colors make them easier to find. Not that that has any relevance to actual use, but this sharpener does work and works well. It's easy to use, too. It has a coarse side and a fine side so we can start with the coarse side and then put a fine edge on the knife with the fine side. Perfect.

I got this to fix a kitchen drawer full of knives that hadn't been sharpened in over 10 years. The only negative would be the instructions which were written in several different languages, but didn't provide much helpful info.I had assumed when I ordered it that each setting on the dial was supposed to be for a different kind of knife, and while that is true for settings 4-6, settings 1-3 are intended to get your basic kitchen knives progressively sharper. Start at the Coarse setting, then switch to Medium and finish with Fine.I sharpened about 10 knives to a razor sharpness on about 10 minutes.While the grinding tools in each setting work very well, I don't know if the plastic parts holding them together are going to be as durable in the long run, especially with knife blades banging against them at the end of each stroke. At this price, though, it will definitely last long enough to get your money's worth.

Our kitchen knives had gotten incredibly dull, so we decided to give this a try. The design on this makes sense and it's super easy to use, very straight-forward. It didn't take a lot of effort at all and our knives are just as sharp now as they were when we first bought them 3 years ago. I'd absolutely recommend this knife sharpener as it gets the job done without making things complicated.

I have sharpeners for all the options on this wheel except for serrated knives. Frankly, I got it for that option, and it sharpened my serrated bread knife up quickly and easily. I also tried the scissors and the 3 double-sided knife options with good results. My only complaint is that the ridge you press against to rotate the wheel is really thin. I found it challenging to rotate the wheel to my desired option simply because I couldn't get a good grip. I'll probably just leave this on the serrated option most of the time and keep my other sharpeners for frequent uses.
