G. LUGERS
IT WAS OKAY. BEING THAT THESE CATS ARE OUT OF GERMANY IT AMAZING HOW FAR HIP HOP REACHES. THE BEATS ARE GOOD AND THE ORDER OF SONGS FIT FROM ONE TO THE NEXT. HOW EVER THE LUGGERS RAPPING LIKE O.G'S WAS UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE I WAS NOT FAMILIAR ANY OF THEM. NO DIS TO THEM BUT IT WAS LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO SOUND HARD, YOU KNOW?

I'd give it a 3.5 but I can't.
Well leave it to the hype machine to add another album to my collection. If you're keen to the underground hip-hop scene you have no doubt heard nothing but good things about this album just like I did. I was really excited to pick this album up because from the way people described it I was expecting something kind of like Wu-Tang Meets Indie Culture only with a sharper edge to it. The production and arrangement are good, I'll give the Snowgoons themselves mad props for some incredible beats and quality mixing on the album, but despite all the "A" list talent on this album the lyrics are pretty disappointing. If you're in to strict battle rap then this album will probably appeal to you more but I personally like a little more thought and direction in a song's lyrics vs. random, yet witty, interjections for 3 minutes. That's the kind of stuff I expect in freestyles and actual battles, not on a full length album. The real problem with that lyrical styling is that many of the artists on this album are capable of so much more yet this album just churns out one dimensional rhyming. In summary, it's great production wise but the lack of lyrical variety and ingenuity makes it kind of a yawn to listen to especially when I got The Undisputed Truth the same day.Favorites:German Lugers (SICK BEAT!)Thinking About Me (Deepest song on the album IMO)The Garbage:Black WoodsMan Of The Year

Illegal and Det's jump off
I believe this is the first Snowgoons album and next to Kraftwerk it's there best.Damn near every track bangs out of the speakers and it's got the best indie emcee line-up featuring Reef the lost cauze,Sean Price,Mitch Hennesy,Edo G,Jus Allah and many more.Gunz,German lugers,Never,No pain No gain are the standout's.The Snowgoons are by far the best production team in the hip hop game even better then DJ Lethal and Muggs which is saying something and on this album it's just Illegal and Det the 2 founding members before the amazing Sicknature joined. This album is very dark and gritty and if your a wayne or drake fan then stay away this will give you nightmares these emcee's are visceral, foul, and downright scary and rap about violence against every type of human, hard drugs both dealing and using, sex, and all that good stuff only found in the underground scene where Snowgoons have now become legends and I believe it all started with this gem.Do check it out and keep it sick....

Sick Production and Sick Emcees
For the most part this album was totally sick. I love a lot of the emcees on this album. Reef The Lost Cauze, Wise Intelligent, and the Living Legends should be enough alone to buy this one. The production is very solid and all of the beats have a unique feel to them. This album is not leaving the rotation.

So raw, it makes everything in the freezer look well done.
A team of German producers called Snowgoons, along with the elite underground hip-hop artists (a total of 26) bring on the heat. I'm talking nuclear reaction heat. German Lugers for me is as big of an event as the release of another JMT album.Lyrically the album is agressive- a lot of battlerap. Just listening "Who What When Where" is an intense expirience.Beats are unusual and creative- Snowgoons have done an excellent job, and in my book they're on a level of producers like Stoupe. It's also nice to see an international collaboration.I highly recommend German Lugers to anyone who knows at least one artist on this album:Sean PriceO.C.Living LegendsRascoChief KamachiLast EmperorAfu RaJus AllahEl Da SenseiWise IntelligentReef The Lost CauzeDoujah RazeMED (Medaphoar)Craig GCelph TitledBaby BlackPumpkinheadWordsworthEdi AminEdo GBreez EvahflowinMajik MostKreatorsBorn UniqueMitchell HennessyVirtuoso

Constant is wrong.
Constant is just a cry baby backpacker who does not know real hip hop and its true elements of the street. This album is straight fire. Sure the album has lots of this and that, but thats life. Get used to it.
