Matbah 5-Piece Canister Set with Stainless Steel Lid

They arrived well packaged and appeared to be brand new, so I suspect that they left India this way. I like them, and will keep them, now that I've already washed and filled them. But, if I had it to do over, I would have gotten the ones with the solid stainless lids and just put labels on them. While the clear lids are a good idea, only the theory holds up. I did a quick soap and water wash on these and set them in the dish drainer to dry for about an hour. First lid....no problem; seal appeared intact and no scratches or marring. Second lid, no leaking but the lid has dull areas and small scratches on the clear (obviously plastic I now know, not glass) top. No big deal, because you can't tell, especially if there is something white inside like sugar or flour. Third lid....water under the seal. Noted a very small bump on the edge of the metal which was probably the problem. With much patience, persistence, tissue and a hair dryer I was able to get it dried. But I put a piece of clear plastic wrap on the top of the canister before putting the lid on, as it is obviously not going to be air-tight if it won't keep water out. Fourth lid....same thing, only without a detectable flaw in the metal. Not so lucky getting the water out of this one, so will see how it looks in the morning. Fifth lid....water, again. And the top of the cannister lid is dull all around the outside rim, not shiny like the rest. Apparently it had been rubbing against something. I don't know if it was previously used or not; the rest looks OK. I would recommend putting a piece of light plastic wrap over anything that is moisture sensitive. OR, just buy the ones with the solid stainless lids. I would not recommend putting these in the dishwasher at all, and don't even put the lids in the sink as it's possible the seal under the clear plastic will eventually fail. Rinse, wipe dry, and use a little Windex on stubborn smears. They really are pretty, but more work than they should be.

I was looking the a set of Jars to put flour, sugar, brown sugar, rice, and potato flakes in so i could keep them readily accesible on the counter. The problem I ran into was finding them for an even somewhat reasonable price, and even then the quality was bleh. I read several reviews, and these seemed like a good option for the right price i was willing to spend.As always, delivery was quick thanks to Amazon shipping. I opened the individually wrapped canisters to find all in pristine condition. I check the seal on each of them and all were perfectly tight, but still allowed my son to easily open them. The people over at Matbah found the perfect blend. the acrylic(or so they feel) windows are the perfect touch to see what is inside. I usually grab them by remembering which size is what, but when cooking with my son, he just quickly checks through the lid. My brown sugar is still moist months later. If I for any reason ever need a canister set again, I would buy these. I also will be getting some for gifts for my Cooking friends at a later date.

These canisters came well packaged, arrived quickly after shipping, and look very nice. The lids seal well due to the shape of the lids and the top of the canisters. They do not have a rubber gasket, but they do keep food fresh so far and look nice on my counter. The big one holds most of a large bag of flour and the second biggest holds two canisters of oatmeal. I added chalkboard labels to spice them up a little, but they look nice on their own. I've been looking for nice canisters for a while, but didn't want the latch type lids that break and I didn't want to spend a fortune for canisters that seal well and hold baking supplies. Great buy so far, very pleased!

Oh my gosh, I love these canisters! We have been trying to replace our plastic storage containers and these were perfect for the kitchen. At first I thought they were too small but the largest ones are great for storing staples like flour or sugar. The smaller ones work for storing cookies or nuts.The containers are really well made and the lids fit tightly. I prefer to wash stainless steel items with lids by hand rather than in the dishwasher as, in the past, we've had the lids get dented to the point that they don't fit anymore. But these look sturdy enough that they *probably* would be fine in the top rack of dishwashers.The canisters are easily labeled with a strip of Scotch tape marked with a Sharpie. The material is shiny rather than matte as some other reviews note but that doesn't bother us. These really helped with organizing our pantry supplies. In fact, I just ordered a second set.

I've already made great use of three of the canisters and I'm very happy with this set. When the products arrived they were all stacked inside one another like matryoshka dolls. Sadly I was not able to open up the fourth canister in order to retrieve the smallest one. The lid is *supposed* to pop right off, just like with the larger canisters and lids. I'm still rating this product 5 stars because it's great, and I'm hoping I can find someone who will be able to get the lid off of my fourth canister. Will update when and if that ever happens.**UPDATE**I was able to get the lid off of the fourth canister!!! W00T!!! I had to use a thin metal spatula to get the lid off, but it worked, and now I can use the full set. This product now deserves the full five stars. :)

This is a decent set for what it cost. I bought it for an RV because of their small size, and they nest together making a small foot print. However; I use an induction cook top and the bottoms of the pans are not perfectly flat. . .meaning you can rock them back and forth. Probably no big deal on a gas or electric cook top, but not too good on an induction cook top as the pan has to fit perfectly flat to function properly. . .that's the only reason I'm giving them a 3. I would not recomend them for an induction cook top. They also would not do well on a ceramic cook top for the same reason.

Outstanding quality. I am very pleased with these. I own a metal fabrication business and can assure you these are very well made from high quality materials. The fit of the lid is very impressive - you can actually feel suction if you remove the lid quickly - it is very difficult to get a metal-on-metal seal like that, yet the lids slip on again with ease. The finish on mine is a lot more reflective than the photo depicts - I think they photo shopped out the reflections. They are mirror polished stainless steel. I like the reflective look - it means they will go with just about any decor as they pick up and reflect whatever color scheme you have. I am certain these will out live me!

I needed containers to store dry fruit, nuts, flour, sugar, etc. This is a great set of stainless steel containers. They have some weight to them so they don't seem cheap or of poor quality. As another reviewer stated, the grip of the lids varies a little by each canister but it still seems well enough to keep the air and other unwanted critters out of your stuff. I ended up buying a second set after using them for about a month.

An excellent set to replace my old decrepit wooden ones. The canisters are well made. The only downside for me is that they are a bit smaller than I anticipated. Nevertheless, a great value

This is a very sturdy product and do not be fooled, these are quite substansual. the third largest one can hold over a pound of coffeeoverall this is just a canister and so it preforms it's primary function well...

I was looking for a last minute Xmas present, and these were perfect and well received. A very clean modern look paired with functionality, the glass lid allows you to see what in it and the wide opening allows you to use measuring cup to scoop and measure at the same time.
