The Great Nowitzki: Basketball and the Meaning of Life

I got the book as a gift for my father, so I have not yet read it, but the book itself is very well constructed and it looks like a very well-done project. The subject, of course, is one of the greatest humans I've ever come across, and I very much look forward to eventually reading it myself. The concept of the book, with a reporter more or less following Dirk for his entire career, is one that I am a huge fan of, and I cannot wait to delve into all of the details that I missed or forgot over his (first) 21 years in the Metroplex.

I am a diehard Mavericks (and mostly Dirk) fan, so I had to pick up a copy of The Great Nowitzki. I thought I knew everything there was to know about Dirk, but I learned so much from Thomas' book. The book beautifully illustrates the kind, gentle, determined human that Dirk is. Thank you so much for the work that was put in to create this. I appreciate it so much.

Dirk is my all time favorite player. Not done with this book but so far this is a great read. As close to an autobiography on him we will get.
