Good for the Price
This Audubon blend seems to work fine with the mix of birds we get in East coast cities. Perfect blend if you mostly have a mix of sparrows and pigeons since they finish every bit that I put out every day. It’s essentially as no mess as can be expected. I guess our city birds are not particularly picky. This Audubon blend has chipped sunflower seeds so it’s not as nice as the no mess Wagner’s blend which has plenty of whole shelled sunflower seeds. Audubon’s blend also has less peanuts than the Wagner’s no mess blend. Our birds really love peanuts for some reason. However, Wagner’s has now discontinued their large 20lb no mess blend bags, so I had to look for a different brand for buying bulk. Audubon Park’s blend is not bad, but it does seem to be a step down in quality. It will have to do now.

GREAT NO-WASTE FOOD ATTRACTS ALL KINDS--TIPS FOR AVOIDING UNWANTED CRITTERS
If you feed birds regularly, sooner or later you will have rats. Eventually we bought a very expensive metal feeder shaped like a house, designed to drop the 'floor' when a rat came on board, triggered by weight; rats happily burrowed their way past the tray to LIVE inside the house! The only way to avoid rodents is too use a no-waste product like this, put out a simple pie plate where you can keep watch, feed at a regular time, and take the pie plate inside after feeding. Be sure to sweep up any crumbs. This no-waste bird food will attract all kinds of songbirds, and now you know how to avoid being defeated by those you DON'T want to feed. Put your plate out where you can enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast as you watch and listen, and enjoy.

Audubon Patio mix for birds
I bought for first time and will be a repeat customer. I mix this patio combo with a woodpecker seeds and fill my "house" shaped feeder. It draws the Acorn Woodpeckers, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Oak Titmouse, Black-headed Grosbeaks, House Finch, on rare occasions the Purple Finch, unfortunately California Scrub Jays, Steller's Jay. I throw some on the ground for Mourning Doves and Calif Quail...and Calif Towhees and Spotted Towhees attract, along with Calif Thrasher. I toss some patio mix out into the thickets and this attracts Wrentits. All kinds of seed eaters are attracted. I do mix brands to keep them all happy, but Audubon Patio is one that I keep on supply and don't like to be without it! I find the packaging to be appropriate and delivery always on time.

Hull-less idea is great. Corn is a rodent problem.
I love the idea of less waste below the feeders. There is a lot of dust. The birds like it, except the corn which they push out. Unfortunately, the amount of corn below the feeder is both awful to look at and has become a real attraction to the mice. I won't buy this particular blend again, but will look for a hull-less variety without the corn.

A bag of seeds and dust
Review Update: Along with the bluejays and woodpeckers, Crows started to come to eat. That is NOT what we wanted. We threw this out, and found another product. We want our little song birds back.Either this was the bottom of a very large vat of seed and it slipped by QC or it is really a terrible product. It was full of dust... but I realized it is from the sunflower seed kernels which are all smashed into powder. Corn is the 2nd item in the ingredients... and is basically a filler. And a lot of larger peanut type of things for larger birds which I don't want. This is a very bad product unless quality control let it slip by. Would not buy again.

The Best No Waste Bird Food
I have been using no waste bird seed for years and have been waiting for over a year for Amazon to get in this larger bag. The packager told me these larger bags were available but unitl Amazon got them in no one in I had to drive 100 miles to find them as they are not carried in San Diego. The Birds love this company's seeds better than the others I have tried, and therefore I do as well. Gotta keep the little guys (and girls) happy

not for fussy eaters
My birds never eat mullet and that is close to 70 % of the foodNext on their do not eat list is cracked corn less then 10%They of course eat the peanuts and sunflower chips 20%So for my birds it's a bust. They did list the ingredients but notthe the percentages so I will always ask first buy last in the futureBetty O
