Worth the Cost.
The case assembles around the Pi easily and even comes with a magnetic mini-Philips screwdriver to do the job. It functions without trouble. You do need to download the latest operating system onto the provided micro XD chip, though--which is not difficult at all. Good value for the cost. I'll be using it for data transfer for my HAM radio system; if I ever get a weather station that does RF/WiFi communication with an indoor computer, I'll probably get another one of these to handle the load.

Amazing gadget
Everything needed is included in this kit to make it work, excepting an HDMI monitor, USB keyboard and mouse. Amazing, and with 8 Gb of RAM too! It runs the 64-bit Ubuntu desktop and server along with a huge plethora of available Ubuntu/open-source Linux programs and software tools. Using a 13" HDMI WaveShare monitor, it provides dazzling desktop video resolution. It isn't as fast as, say, an Intel desktop machine, but there's always a tradeoff between speed and power consumption, size and heat dissipation limitations. It's great way to learn to setup a multi-server cluster, or any other programming/IT learning endeavor or to deploy small-size embedded controller applications.

no boot after 2 months
a few days ago I noticed the device wasnt booting after less than 2 months of use. The screen said it couldnt find the SD port. When I went to verify the SD card was fully seated, the SD port burned me. It was so hot that it left a mark on my finger. The device does a POST so it isnt dead but it cannot find the SD port. The device is useless and I cant afford to buy another at the over inflated prices these days much less even find one anymore.*******************updated review*********************turns out it wasn't the SD slot on the board but the actual SD card causing the problem. I replaced the SD card and all works well and does not get hot.

In this kit the OS is NOT pre-loaded on the Storage Card.
This was my first Raspberry, so having only done real INTEL Multicore CPUs and GPUs servers and high-end pc builds it was new and simple. Almost like, is that all? Took about 10 minutes to assemble the heat sinks mount the PI4B into the lower section of the case and add the fan.Assembly in the case was simple, straight forward. Unfortunately the case does NOT stay latched together. It POPS open if you move it the tiniest amount. I finally crazy glued the bottom piece to the top piece (the fan mounts on another piece on the top). The FAN IS NOISY. It may be small but it has a WHINE and is noticable. Maybe spend a few pennies more for a better fan in the kit?It was easy to get up and running. So everyone knows you MUST LOAD THE OS onto the SHDX card. It comes EMPTY. It was simple for the RaspberryPi OS but I wanted UNBUNTU server and it required the Raspberry Pi Imager tool to load the UBUNTU Server version. It surprised me that it included a Wifi card with the 802.11AC compatibiliyty. I connected to 2.1 Gbps wifi making the updates fast.I tried to use a single USB cable to my monitor and then connect the mouse and keyboard to that location, but ONLY the MOUSE worked. I had to move the KEYBOARD to the SECOND USB 2.0 slot for it to be recognized. So not sure if the USB 2.0/3.0 support USB Hub using the multiple ports on the Monitor with the USB A to USB Host connection cable.Again, unlike other full kit providers, the OS is NOT preloaded on the storage card! So the reviewer that pointed that out did NOT read the instructions. I found the "read only" could be cleared by using DISKPART on W11 by deleting the partitions created by the Imager with the "OVERRIDE" option. There are 3 partitions, and then do a CLEAN (without the ALL) and I could reformat and reimage the storage card for the UBUNTU Server boot card. There is a GREAT GUIDE to walk you through the setup. It made it a breeze and covered the options, in my case using UBUNTU Server instead of RaspberryPI OS.

The best of everything that's important
When you're looking for the perfect Raspberry Pi to use, this particular kit checks all the boxes. I think what separates this from some of the other kits is the case top allows heat to escape which should help keep the Pi cooler.

Nice rpi
I bought this to build a pihole. Had zero experience with rpis but this was drop dead easy to assemble and get a raspberry pi OS installed. The only caveat was everything was set to UK English and I am in the US. Could be that I installed the wrong locale also. Bad part was I didn’t figure this out until I had to SSH into it and couldn’t. But I digress…This was my first foray into rpis and was far easier than I thought. Recommended!

Works as expected
Arrive well packaged and works as expected. The HDMI cables to be rather flimsy but I don't use them anyway.
