They work
I bought these for my son who works an outdoor job in central Florida. He had one pair of company issued shoes and routinely works until 1am and sometimes has shifts scheduled as early as 11am the next day. When I bought these they felt flimsy and cheap and I didn't have a ton of hope for dry shoes in a quick turn around. My son even laughed and said he probably wouldn't use them. Well, after his first shift in a heavy downpour, he was desperate for dry shoes and gave them a try. He admitted that they dried his shoes and he now uses the dryers all the time. I don't know how long these will last but if they even work for 1 season they will be well worth it. I should mention that he has roommates and they haven't complained of noise so they are quiet to use as well.

Long Lasting
I bought these in January 2017. I had them plugged in and continuously on in boots or shoes at work for the last 8 years. They just finally ended their life. I just bought my next set!

Handy little boot dryer
So far, so good. I bought these to replace a shoe & glove dryer that is no longer made. I was skeptical at first but figured I'd give them a try for $15. My old dryer had a fan to circulate warmed or ambient air and this has no fan, rather just radiant heat. Happy to say that they worked great last weekend. I plugged them in one pair of boots Saturday morning and they were dry by the time I came in from the woods at night. I placed them in the other pair of boots Saturday night and they were dry by morning. Dryers were plugged in and warm for about 30 hours straight and did their job. Only 4 stars because I will have to wait to see how they hold up and how long they last.

Seems to work well
Using to dry gloves

It takes most of the night to dry soaking wet shoes or boots.
It will dry my hiking boots and wading boots. The devices get very warm, but the air only circulates by convection. There is no forced air circulation. Thus, it takes a very long time to dry boots completely. I do have to take out the inner sole inserts.

Great for drying out athletic shoes, especially for the price
Gets the job done in drying my basketball shoes. The idea with athletic shoes is to use these before they are old, used and smelly. Supposedly shoe dryers can help prevent the shoes from hosting a damp environment for bacteria to grow, as well as actively kill bacteria. I'm using them in old basketball shoes, but hope to use them in a new pair in the near future. I read a suggestion from a reviewer of another product saying to spray the inside of your shoes with Fabreze then use the dryers. I've done that and it has reduced the smell of my basketball shoes greatly, though YMMV.Anyway, if you're looking for shoe/boot dryers I'd recommend these. Some reviews for more expensive boot dryers say that they aren't well built and seem like they will break easily, and actually do for some others. I'd find it hard to damage these, unless you aren't careful with the cord going into the dryers. With other dryers you are putting the weight of the shoe on them, whereas with these you slide them into the shoe, so I think these will physically hold up over time.I have how up to the task these would be for drying snow soaked boots, but for the purpose of drying out athletic shoes they get the job done. For the price and performance so far I am beyond pleased.

YUP! The funk's still there!
My feet, due to genes and multiple other issues, sweat a lot and my gym shoes are always MUSTY! And I cycle, I believe, It's 6 pairs of gym shoes plus snow boots and everyday show wear but the funkyest are my gym shoes since I wear them most of the time so I purchased the KOODER Shoe Dryer to help me deal with this never ending problem but it did not help!It works but a couple of issues, including the AC plug is not polarized and it's uncertain if it may create a problem but as fa as I know it should be polarized and most importantly it is NOT HOT ENOUGH to kill any fungus that causes shoes to become funky! If you want your shoes warm, have at it but careful with the AC plug. The following is from a quick review of non polarized ac plugs:"In North America, with a 110V circuit, polarized outlets and plugs are used as a safety feature. They are used to help ensure the complete circle of electricity in a circuit, keeping the hot-wired pin in the hot-wired side of the outlet and the same for the neutral side and pin. Some machines require polarized plugs for proper functioning. "
