Pros:Looking for something that blends in on the wall like a normal wall switch. This has a thin and modern-ish simple design that fits the profile.No issues with connection. Ready to use from the package.Note that the switch wouldn’t work if you turned the lamp off by its own switch.Cons:The mechanism to pry the cover off to access the battery is rather unnerving - the two plastic bits that snap the cover in place look fragile.Verdict: All products have room for improvement. This looks good and fits the purpose. Will come back to comment on the longevity and long-term quality.

I have a set of older sockets, and found that this switch is not compatible. The newer socket that comes with it has a small sticker on the back saying 'New Learning'. The older ones do not.I contacted Dewenwils and they were extremely helpful, finding me an older switch at the back of the stockroom. But it sounds like there are very few of these left so be aware :)Excellent customer service and a great product.

Would be 5-star except:The switch is quite flimsy and doesn't feel likely to survive too many battery changes. In use it's fine.The switch almost but doesn't quite fit over a standard UK pattress box. It would be better a couple of mm bigger all round.The installation was very straightforward and took just the time to fit the battery and fix the switch to the wall.

Seems good value and quick delivery. Straight out of the box and working, brilliant.

I needed to control a standard lamp from the existing wall switch as I have removed the ceiling fitting

The switch works absolutely fine for what I need it for, controlling a coat closet light. However I couldn't work out how to separate the two halves to screw it to the wall. I emailed the customer support address and the staff were very helpful and even filmed a video for me showing how to separate it.The answer is brute force by the way!

Easy to connect to my fairy lights, which have no remote control, and are plugged into an inaccessible place, so using the switch is great. Cons are that turning on is fine, but turning off needs pressing in the right place, which I don't always get first time. Also, would have been nicer if the switch could have been made much smaller, as it is a bit obtrusive. Having said that, don't regret this purchase at all.

Used to power 10 shower mini downlights. Used double sided tape to mount switch on bathroom wall. Plug situated in loft, no problem with signal. Ideal.
