Coloring and painting set
I do a lot of coloring and love my new art set. I look forward to trying my hand at painting with the water colors. This set is not just for children. I love the wooden case. It is easy to take with me wherever I go.

My daughter loves it! Her only complaint is she wishes there was more paint, or larger paint tubes.

Quality isn't terrible. Purchased for a ten year old child
Quality isn't terrible. Purchased for a ten year old child. But she was very upset that everything falls out of place when closed and that the black plastic "holders" are all cracked. There are others just as inexpensive but much better packaging and quality

good variety. However
Quality case, good variety. However, the felt tip colors were all dry and therefore would not work. Did not find out about this from my granddaughter until this week.

Large kid's art set
The media could not be loaded. In my video I go over each item in the set. You can also read for yourself what is included. The main WOW factor to this set is the size, and the lovely wooden carrying case it comes in. The case expands as shown a bit like a fishing tackle box. even after you have used up all the other art supplies you will want to hang on to the case and re-purpose it for something else, either more art supplies, or maybe another kind of craft, like a sewing kit or something. The quality of the art supplies is fair for an adult beginner, but for a kids set, I'd say the quality is above average. I have experience in fine arts, and what is and isn't good quality so I may be more picky than the average non-artist. For instance, the colored pencils are fine. They are equivalent quality to crayola brand or the kind you buy for your kids for school. The leads are harder, so they don't blend as well with each other and the colors are not as rich. A regular person would not probably notice this difference. But if you wanted to pay $40-$80 you could get a professional set of colored pencils which are a softer lead quality. They do include liquid watercolors which I found very refreshing! Liquid water colors are better quality and depending on how much water you use, more vibrant and opaque than the water color cakes (also included in this set). Another point to note if you have multiple small containers, like baby food jars or similar, you can mix the watercolors in there and save for later so you don't waste paint. (I hate wasting stuff).Do be sure you get the appropriate paper for watercolors. Using plain paper can get messy and the results won't be what you are looking for. Each medium of art needs the correct paper! For watercolors get a paper that is thicker and has a tooth. You don't want a smooth paper, you want something that will absorb and hold the color, not make the color run! This set does not come with paper! The set also comes with a good selection of markers. I suspect these will be the item that most kids will gravitate to. I love the huge variety of colors. Marker tips are very rigid - more rigid than standard crayola markers. This makes for a defined line, and less sloppiness, although on most "art" markers I note tips are very flexible and even brush like. It's going to boil down to a matter of taste for you. Kids very likely won't have much of an opinion on this. They include crayons and oil pastels, these I found good/average quality. No problems there anyway. They also included 6 art pencils, two of each lead hardness, 4B, 2B and HB. Oddly, no H1 through 6's in the mix. The numbers signify lead softness. The B's are soft lead and make a thick dark line. The H's indicate a hard lead, one that makes a light thin mark. HB is equivalent to a #2 lead pencil we are all familiar with. The set also has a couple tubes of glue and glitter glue, an eraser, a ruler, a pencil sharpener and a bunch of paper clips. Some of these items I found a little odd. Like, why glue but no scissors included. But I guess it's nicer that they included them rather than not. I also have no idea what I would use paper clips for. When your kids see this set (and especially if they love artsy craftsy things) they are going to be delighted. This set makes those other plastic sets pale in comparison. It looks so professional in the wooden box. You could purchase all these items separately, but having the set that fits in the box really does make the impact you probably would like to have if giving this as a gift.

Nice complete set
This is a very nice, complete set of art supplies. The colors included seem very bright and it’s great for art students or younger kids who are just getting started with art projects. There is a lot of variety with the mediums provided and the wooden box is very sturdy. It actually fits nicely under a bed and latches shut so that none of the supplies fall out. I really love that it includes oil pastels because you usually don’t see those in a beginner’s set like this. I’m very impressed with this set.
