Azumi AZ2 Intermediate Flute Offset G, Split E

Just got it. Played it twice. Love the clearly of the sound and the easy of play. So far beautiful instrument.

Okay, so some history first. I'm a sophomore in high school, and one of the better flutes (top three) in our band. Last year our band director who absolutely cannot play flute to save his life had a flute teacher come in and help us with our concert music. She noticed that I was constantly overpowering my flute and suggested I upgrade to a solid silver headjoint. After doing some research and play testing the limited selection at our local music center (I live in the middle of nowhere rip me) the Azumi was by far the best option for the money. Let me say this flute really lets me project well and the tone is exceptional. The mechanism is fast, light, and responsive, and make my old Jupiter 507 feel like a child's toy. Transitioning from closed to open holes was no problem for me, and the keys are in a much more ergonomic position than the Jupiter. I am able to play all registers at all (reasonable) dynamic levels with ease, and as long as you play with enough air to keep the sound alive and the flute full it's just really beautiful. The split E is a godsend too, and the knowledge that I'm probably not going to split that note really lets me relax when playing. Overall 10/10 would recommend.
