Utterly fantastic! Beautifully written
Such a beautifully written story, full of love, dreams, promises, deceit and heartbreaking truths and lies.So we start with Eden, after arriving tot eh city, she remembered that she grew up in. Cincinnati, where she desperately tried to get some money so she could find shelter and food. She had been through such an awful ordeal, but she survived the big flood as she had been shoved into a separate room, and managed to stay alive. We learnt that Calder, too had survived. Rescued by Xander. We spend the first third of this heart wrenching story with Calder and Eden both believing that the love of their life had ot survived. SUch tragedy and heartbreak surrounding the deaths of the rest of Acadia.Eden managed to find a kind gentleman, who took her in, gave her a job and helped her to start living in the real world. At the same time. Calder and Xander was living in an apartment, doing jobs to earn money as best they could without having ID papers. Its through Eden's friend Felix, after he dies, he gives her some information which ultimately helps her find that her Mom is still alive, Oh my such an emotional time.I loved how Eden's cousin Molly turned out to be such a sweetheart, she really helped Eden to settle in and her Mom, totally overwhelmed with Eden coming home became the overprotective Mom.Then Oh my word!! heart stopping, adrenalin pumping moment. We have learn't that Calder has been painting and is showing his paintings. Even now the trepidation of the moment, where Calder and Eden are reunited. Flipping heck I had water type stuff leaking out my face.We then learn the reality, after Calder was talked down off the ledge by Xander, during a very low period in Calder's life. He painted as a way to heal and move on.Xander was the best mate ever....always seemed to know the right thing to say and do, so when he saw Eden again, and Calder's friend Madison who called herself his girlfriend. Flipping heck He took control, got Eden home to calm Calder down!Awe we spend time wit Calder and Eden after getting re-acquainted.We also learn about Calder's true relationship with Madison and I truly felt sorry for her, she actually turned out to be a good person. As Calder and Eden setting into becoming re-acquainted, catching up with what they have been up to.I felt that the reunion, their thoughts, their trusts and feelings were thoughtfully written. Then all hell breaks loose! it appears they have been uncovered, they had managed to keep a very low profile. They do handle it well, even though its a very testing time. They were so in-tune with each other, and both knew when they needed to get some time away, which they did they took a vacation, it also took them away from the limelight. Their vacation turns out to be a huge fact finding mission. Between them they unearth some very big secrets that Hector had been keeping, we also learn more about Calder and his history, WOW what a shocker. I was so pleased that they were able to find all that information out, and finally move on with their future. And what a future its going to be! So pleased that they have some good to look forward to.

Fantastic end to a great series loved Calder and Eden
Finding Eden (A Sign of Love) by Mia Sheridan5 stars!!“…everyone deserves a love story that doesn’t hurt.”Please note you must have read Becoming Calder first! These two books go hand in hand and Finding Eden is a continuation of Becoming Calder.I really don’t know where to begin with this review. I have to admit that this was one super emotional roller coaster of a journey. The unmistakable talent of Mia Sheridan comes shining through in this book. This series is like a piece of art, the effort and precision, the love and thought, the colours blending together to put together a masterpiece. The brilliant penmanship glaringly apparent so that when you are reading, it is not just words, it is an experience. You live and breathe it, like morning glory, it overtakes you.“Five life changing, extremely satisfied stars,”I have to be careful what I write in this review as both books are being released simultaneously and I do not want to take anything away from this breath taking journey that Mia Sheridan expertly takes you on. This book focuses on life outside of the compound, dealing with the aftermath of events in Becoming Calder and is a life journey all of its own. It pains me, but I have to leave this short and vague because I have so much I want to say.“I guess if you choose to trust a snake, you deserve his venom.”This book is extremely emotional in places; I was in tears at several points in this book, even in the beginning. There is one scene that will stay with me for a very long time. It ripped me to shreds, the heart felt emotion that went into this scene was off the charts, I lived it and breathed it, I felt EVERYTHING, my heart hurt, my head throbbed and eyes were a puffy mess, but Mia Sheridan delivered.I just became so emotionally invested in this series, I just couldn’t help it. Calder and Eden became my friends and I was just an innocent bystander watching their voyage through life. When they hurt, I hurt; it really was just one of those types of books. This book though is perfectly balanced, yes it is emotional, yes it is angsty, but it is smattered with humour and some laugh out loud moments. I had tears but I also had a lot of smiles, this book is heart-warming. It makes you believe in true love, in soul mates, in destiny. If two people are truly destined to be together, love will find a way to make it happen. Even if that journey is tragic and difficult, if it was meant to be, it will happen.“…You were victims. But don’t live like victims. Live like survivors…”That is what this series is all about though, a journey, difficult as it was and with many bumps in the road and curve balls thrown from all angles, these two are survivors, they are so strong together and even apart, there was always that wavering belief that someday, just maybe someday there was a way for them to be together even if it meant reunited in death. So strong were their feelings for one another, one could not really live without the other. Yes they were alive, but it was merely an existence, they didn’t LIVE.“We all attach things to our hearts, the things we value, the things we need, the things that make us who we are. But maybe…maybe it’s only when our hearts are broken, that those things can fall inside. Maybe it’s only then that those things truly become part of us, and if those things are good and beautiful, it’s only then we truly understand and see the pain in others. Perhaps that’s what real mercy is.”The story flowed beautifully, the characters remained true to themselves, questions were answered, the plot delivered and was executed flawlessly. The timeline was believable and in fact I think added to the story. This series as a whole will be in my top reads of 2014, I would recommend it to everybody and I will say it will be a series that will stay with you for days, I found myself thinking about it randomly, the characters, their lives, what they went through, how they ended up. It pulls at your heart strings and once they are in there, they are not leaving in a hurry.Once again, Mia Sheridan, a fantastic read, you are super talented and should be so proud of what you have put together. However, I will say, Calder has not ousted my Archer from my number 1 spot but he is close…now where did I put my Coke?…“As pretty as a flower…as strong as a weed.”

Out of darkness there is light
The night of the 6th October 2014 will live forever in my head as a night I slept fitfully. I tossed and turned, huffed and puffed and sighed.Poor, beautiful Eden lost and alone in the big, wide world. No money. No one to turn to and worst of all for me she believes Calder has died in the flood at Acadia. She is haunted by what happened.Poor, beautiful Calder lost and only with Xander for comfort. No money and totally broken by the loss of Eden. Troubled by the images of what happened at Acadia and that he might be to blame. Would you sleep with that bubbling in your head?I woke on the 7th ready to find answers and to see where the book would take me.Once I doubted Mia. When I read Stinger, I thought she was going to leave me heart broken. She told me to trust her, so I did, completely. I just let the story consume me, like a river finds its own path.I still think it was a 5 star read but it wasn't as all consuming for me as Becoming Calder. I cried proper tears all the way through. Emotional roller coaster, yes. Worth it, hell yes.

Great Sequel - love it !
This is part two of Finding Calder, you must read book one before this as it won't make any sense. After finishing Finding Calder I had to know what happen to Calder and Eden after that dramatic and horrific ending. Finding Eden do not disappoint it was heartbreaking, heartwarming journey for the couple to find peace and ultimately finding the answers to what happened to them. This journey was not pretty and at times it had my heart in picecs for this couple, how much more drama could they handle before they broke. I'm so glad that they were able to grow, mend, forgive and build new lives for them selves and finally leave the horrors of Acardia behind them.I really enjoyed Finding Eden, I found it hard to put down, I needed to know if this couple got their HEA because no couple deserved more than they did !Loved that parts of the story shocked me, twist and turns I never excepted but throughly enjoyed !Great sequel !

Special
I couldn't wait to read the second book in this sign of love tale and Mia didn't disappoint. I loved the way it flowed and the pace of the story. Yet again Mia Sheridan writing a story that is a profound love story but not the 'norm' love story is just brilliant I love that she writes about topics other authors stay away from whether it be cults or soft porn stars or people that use sign language to communicate or people that have had rough childhoods she shows true love can happen to anyone and anywhere and the twists she puts in them keeps u guessing as to where the story will go. I have read quite a few of Miami books now and they get better and better. Off to find another now!
