Superb camera for the price it is a bargain with only some minor flaws.
First thing first - ***UPGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE**** to the latest version Samsung has made some improvements to image quality. This review is based on the latest as of 01-14-2015. When I received the camera it needed the upgrade. Also make sure you use a fast microSD card so the image write times are reduced.Picture Quality - You need to remember that this is a small 2.3 back lit sensor. You cannot compare this to a full frame, or even crop sensor camera. But back to picture quality. I've had many compact cameras, even the "not-so-compact" Canon SV-50 so comparing it to other cameras with a 2.3 CCD this camera was a surprise after reading some of the negative reviews. Low-Light is actually handled very well with little noise up to about 800 ISO. The pictures compare well with my SV50 for grain and color. Those "pixel peepers" who bash this cameras picture quality need to tell me where you are going to get a camera with better features and picture quality in this price range. This is a travel camera for times when I don't want to carry my Olympus M4:3 System with all it's lenses.Build Quality - there are some reviewers who said that this feels like a toy... Really?... This camera feels very solid it's actually a bit larger then I expected. Not huge, and still pocket-able (for guys with normal pants, tightpants need not apply here LOL). Buttons, screen, lens, flash, all feel well put together the camera has a bit of heft. The rubber thumb rest is a nice touch. It would have been nice if they carried that to the front of the body. However, since I camo cover all my cameras it wouldn't have mattered anyway. The selection dial on the top is in a strange place and I could see how it may get switched from moving the camera around in your hand (note: this has not happened to me yet but I just wanted to point that out, it's really not a deal breaker).Lens - I am still amazed that they are fitting lenses like this in such a small package. Of course this is only made possible by having a small sensor. the f2.8 to f5.9 is really nice plus Samsung claims a 3 to 4 stop advantage from the on board image stabilizer and I have no reason to doubt that claim. Pictures taken inside without flash and with a steady hand are clear and crisp even in low light. I actually think this camera performs better then my SV50 did in low light. Towards the end of the zoom the camera seems to get a bit softer but I am still testing all of that. When you are taking pictures with a 21x (86mm) zoom on a small body any slight movement will effect any type of camera. Learn to use your environment, lean on a tree, post, or sign to steady up. Or the best option use a tripod if the picture is more critical (read: family photo). Zoom speed is a bit slow but functional.Video Quality - is superb for this type of camera, the mic is mono but picks up well. It is prone to wind noise so you may want some type of wind block device. Some reviews pointed at a slow motion capture mode. I have not found this to be true but I am still searching to see if it is burried deep in the menus some where.Remote Viewer Software - I am an Android nut so I cannot speak for I-phone or I-anything. It worked each time I tried it. Pairing was fast and the mirror image on my phone is only slightly laggy. This feature will be used for family photos or anytime I need a remote. You can control the zoom, photo size, turn flash on and off (if it is deployed), and shutter release. This same software also allows you to download photos directly to your phone from the camera. You don't need to be in wireless coverage the camera sets up an ad-hock style network (which was important to me).WIFI apps and implementation - Wifi works but the interface is a bit clunky. From what I can tell there is no way to see the networks you have remembered in the camera. There is also little to no way to tell if the radio is even on or attached to a network. But it's does work and I had no problems attaching it to my home network. The dropbox process is very weird but it does work. You need to log in every time you want to share and it doesn't remember your login or password. Facebook app I have yet to get it working, every time I login the camera tells me that there was an error. Facebook then tell me there was a login attempt from an unknown browser. I have not tried the other apps and honestly it really doesn't matter to me since I would share almost everything through my phone or my PC. The apps don't matter to me (hence the 4 star review) however you will need to know that the implimentation is not very well done. If these options matter to you, then you should look at the galaxy camera (1 or 2) which runs android and has the same sensor and lens.Battery Life - I am still on the fence waiting until I have a few more charge cycles. ( I have a trip coming up the camera will get a good workout)SD Card - Yes THIS CAMERA TAKES A MICRO SD CARD. I don't see the big deal but for some people it may be a deal breaker. I've already got a library of both microSD and full size SD cards so it's not a big deal for me.Software - I am not going to review all the filters and options available. I am more of a camera nerd and rarely use in camera effects but there are some cool creative options there to explore. The internal Facebook, Dropbox, and youtube integration is a bit clunky but does work.---SUMMARY---The Good - Great Image Quality for a small sensor camera, f2.8 in a small camera lens, Great zoom range, image stabilization works well, build quality is great, Lots of filters and in-camera features, Video quality is greatThe Bad - WIFI and app implementation is very clunky but works

I have a samsumg NX300 camera, although it is a mirrorless camera, it is still quite bulky due to those big lenses i attached to it ( for the reason of it unwieldy mobility i had missed many chances that i could have gotten many good photos if i had had it with me).I decided to get a pocket camera that i can bring it around everyday, so i will not miss any photographic scene that always happens when i don't have my NX300 with me. Now i can carry my Sansung WB350f on my belt whenever i go out.I bought this WB350 pocket camera from amazon and it came in in 2 days after i ordered it ,as a prime member. My first impression about this small camera is that it feels solid with the black leather texture in the front of the body that looks very nice. The whole camera is like a minimalism artwork. It has only straight lines and a circle looking from the front. It smacks of a 50's old style camera. Now about the performance, I like the 21X zoom lens very much. The range is equal to 23mm all the way up to 480mm. To cover this range on the mirrorless NX300 i need to carry at least two big lenses. The small WB250f easily cover the range with one single small lens. Of course, the photo i took with the small camera can not compete with that of the mirrorless camera, but the mobility of the small camera is more than compensating for the quality issue of the photos ( if one do not blow the image all the way to the highest resolution.) All in all i enjoy this small camera that is so handy and can cover almost all the shooting occasions. So far i have used it for only 2 days and i will post another review after i have used it for a longer time and see if anything will breakdown when it is not so new anymore. Highly recommending to anyone who needs a small mobile camera one can carry with him/her whenever one goes out and uses the camera like a mobile phone. Even the quality of images it takes is not as good as the DSL, the photo quality is wayyyy better than the mobile phones ( as a matter of fact, it is several order better than any mobile phone can do with this small camera).

Samsung Point and Shoot WB350F
The Samsung WB350F point and shoot has been a fantastic camera. I am not a professional photographer but if I really wanted to get into the weeds of aperture settings and lighting control this camera has that ability. The pictures look great and it is small enough to carry around and turns on quick so you don’t miss anything waiting for the camera get settled before you can use it. As long as you have the memory card large enough it takes pretty goo HD video.Speaking of Memory card that is where I found my issues with this product. I ended up having to get two. The first one (ScanDisk Ultra 64G MicroSD) met the requirements listed as memory cards that should work for it and for clarification the camera works fin and uses the Memory cards full capacity. However the firmware update for the Samsung WB350F does not recognize the card and will tell you to put a memory card in the camera when there is one already there. In order to get my software updates I bought a basic MicroSD chip (Centon 16G MicroSD) after getting this the Camera recognized the memory chip and allowed me to update the firmware for the Samsung WB350F. The only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that there are no clear directions on what is to be done for upgrading. The message tells you to wait for the firmware to be 100% downloaded. Then you sit there and wait. I waited for what I thought was a reasonable time then called the Samsung Helpdesk. I was then told to power off the camera then power it back on. At that point the camera provided the rest of the directions of pressing the shutter button and waiting for the firmware to upgrade firmware. Other than the Memory card and firmware upgrade issues I gave the camera 4 stars because of the quality of the finally product. Samsung needs to improve its directions on the firmware upgrade not sure what to make of the MicroSD chip issue. The chip works which is the only saving grace kind of stinks you have to have some other MicroSD chip in order to upgrade firmware on chip. The Samsung WB350F is compact and powers up quick and takes great pictures which I think is what most people want. The retro look is really attractive and it's easy to use. The pictures could be a bit crisper and the memory card issue are the only things keeping it from being five stars.

Excellent Camera for Photographers that don't want to buy a DSLR yet.
This was my 2nd camera ever owned, after my first one was stolen 8 years ago. I got into photography, but didn't want to jump the gun and buy something like a DSLR so I did my research for a couple weeks and discovered that THIS exact CAMERA was the BEST ALL AROUND for what I was looking for in this price range. Probably my favorite features of this camera were the Wi-Fi/Post straight to Facebook App and the ZOOM! ITS FREAKIN INCREDIBLE HOW FAR I WAS ABLE TO ZOOM IN! I zoomed in on a ship out in the ocean while at the beach and at full zoom you can actually see the ship pretty clearly! I was blown away! Another cool little feature is that in order to work the Flash, you must press the flash button on the camera and the Flash will Pop itself out of the camera. To put flash back in its place, you gently push it back in and youll hear a click. (see pictures below)HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR CAMERA LOVERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERSBeen using since November 29th, 2015Black material is plastic, I believe, with a leather feel. I really dont think its leather though. Still really nice design!CONS:Memory Card and Card Adapter SOLD SEPARATELY!I suggest the Samsung 32GB EVO Class 10 with Adapter. I bought the card with adapter through Amazon as well!ALSO:Not a Con but I DO RECOMMEND a second charger for backup. The battery lasts a good amount of time but its always safe to have a backup battery. I recommend the SLB-10A Battery and Battery Charger for Samsung that you can buy on Amazon for 14.99$ The one I bought came with a Plug-in Wall Charger, a Car Charger, and the Backup Battery of course! all that for 15$ is a no-brainer! (Get a case too for traveling)

I found this camera after reading some reviews on a good price/quality/feature balance for a point and click camera
I bought this camera for my parents as they were visiting me in New York. Their old camera broke on the second day of their visit so it was Amazon prime to the rescue just in time for a weekend trip to Niagara Falls.I found this camera after reading some reviews on a good price/quality/feature balance for a point and click camera. So far my parents had never given it much thought and it always ended up in them buying something that'd last them a year until the images started going bad.The first impressions have been very good, though it's far from even an entry-level DSLR in terms of quality: this little camera takes good quality pictures quickly. It's also nice and portable which makes it great on quick trips where lugging a DSLR around is just not an option. The camera has plenty of options and its ability to connect through WiFi is a nice add-on that we've used a lot when transferring the pictures back to my PC.The one thing that wasn't too great about this camera is the user interface which leaves much to be desired. I had problems finding certain options, and my parents being much less tech savvy had a lot more issues. I do believe that once they know how to get to their most frequently used options this won't be much of a problem anymore, but when we were running around finding options such as the panorama shot took longer than I'd like.
