The Amazing Adventures of Chilly Billy Paperback – October 15, 2013

I’m glad to have this out of print story but miss the colored pictures of the original story book. I have the original and wanted to share this cute story with a new momma. Sorry she won’t see the colorful illustrations pictures show original vs the new digital copy.

The book is a classic, and it's a delight for my children.But the reprint Amazon is selling here is pretty sub-par. There's no label printed on the spine of the book, so it's hard to find on the shelf. The original color illustrations are printed in black and white. The pictures are mostly correctly assigned to the text, but some are not (the very first full-page illustration is on a different page to the text describing it). Turn to Chapter 3 and the second paragraph is suddenly in a different type size to the rest of the page.I assumed on receiving it that I must have mistakenly ordered from a shady third-party seller, but no, this is the one reissued by Escargot apparently. Clearly this was a rush job without proper quality assurance.

This brought back great memories from my childhood, racing to the fridge every morning to see if Billy had left footprints in the butter. Very special to be able to relive the excitement by sharing it with my 2.5yr old now.

My kids really enjoyed this book. Fun adventure of the little man in the refrigerator.I would recommended for all ages.

Grandson read this book and loved it. He talks about Chilly Billy when he opens his frig at home; looks to see if he is there or been there!

The story is an imaginative story that get children caught up in the world of the refrigeration life. Grade 1 and 2's loved it

There is just something so intriguing for kids to imagine a little guy who lives in their fridge!

Had this book when I was a kid, read it to my older children 17/19 yrs, have moved a few times and couldn’t find the copy as I wanted to read it to my 3 yr old daughter. Couldn’t believe amazon have reprinted the books and both books not just this one, yes the pics are not in colour but I have rectified that by colouring them myself and I think it looks brilliant and my little girl loves chilly billy and actually thinks he lives in our fridge :) very happy.

I was given an original copy of Chilly Billy back in the 1980s and it has remained one of my most remembered books. I therefore ordered this reprint in order to relive my childhood. Unfortunately however, as soon as I saw the book, my heart sank. The pictures inside the book are all in black and white, instead of colour (like the original). Further, there's something a bit off or fuzzy about the print quality. It kind of reminds me of when digital photography first came out in the late 90s / early noughties and its resolution wasn't high enough to replace traditional photography. Very disappointed as I so wanted to embrace this reprint.

Love this when I was a child, brings back happy childhood memories. Wanted to introduce my children to it, seemed Longer than I remember. Great book and cnd still had the new book smell.

My son bought this book from a bookshop when he was a child in the seventies. I read these stories to many children during my teaching career and they all loved them.Somehow or other I lost my copy, probably lent it out once to often. I can 't believe it was never reprinted and that that copy we bought all those years ago would be worth something today. Lovely stories. Children I taught couldn't wait to go home to try to open the fridge quickly enough to catch Chilly Billy out!
