Bite size learning made fun
Well, learning another language is hard work, and German certainly is with all its grammar. It is aimed at year nine but would be useful for GCSE level. As a sixty something I, also, have enjoyed it. Each page has a different topic such asFood and drinkInformal lettersSchool subjectsThe themes are kept lighthearted by the addition of subtle humour such as"Look ihr - du you Sie what I mean."And the currency ? EUROnly a referendum away! The text is large print with different fonts and colours and clear headings. It strikes the right balance of hard graft and spoken German. There is a comprehensive glossary at the back of the book, but no dictionary, so you will need one of these also.In my experience of learning languages you need both in order to be fluent enough to get by. I have a selection of other German language books, some are very basic and others too advanced. This is an excellent book, and very good value. I recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their language skills, but in a light hearted way.

Excellent book bought for my son who has just started ...
Excellent book bought for my son who has just started German at secondary school. I like the colourful pages, I think it makes the subject more interesting and memorable. Useful test pages at the end of each section. This is the 3rd book of this set that I have bought and they are all excellent.

Grand daughter will not use it.
Unfortunately I presume this is a good book but grand daughter shows no interest in it and prefers to learn at school. Although she did say she hates learning German and will stop it as soon as she can make her choices. But she does like French.

Bought a few a those CGP for a KS3 year8.Content very limited and the presentation, wording are very childish more suitable for a year5/6 than for a teen.Sad as the ones bought for Primary school were quite good.
