When you are curvy it is hard to find pants that fit both the waist, hips, and legs. I usually go a size higher just so they will fit my waist and hips and then I end up looking sloppy because the legs look too big. I bought the large and extra large and I kept the large. The large was tighter in the tummy, but fit right around the legs when made into shorts. I figure the fabric will loosen a little and that will be enough room for me in the tummy. The genius of the pants is the stretch back waist. Feels a little tight, but not restricting. They are high waisted so when sitting you don't get the plumber's crack. The fabric feels thick and sturdy. I wish they had a short version, but I can live with the length or fix the length eventually. This is the best affordable hiking pant I could find. I'm pleased.

I work for BLM and I bought these pants for work as I am often outdoors walking or hiking in vegetation. The first time wearing them I ended up on a 7 mile hike through sagebrush, mohagony, and manzanita. There was no trail to be followed so these pants were pushing and climbing through every bush. I fully expected them to tear at some point, and to my suspense, they did not tear or shred one bit! I never leave reviews but I had to for these pants. I was pleasantly surprised and I will be ordering more! For reference, I am 5’2, 120lbs, usually a 25/26 or 2/4. I ordered a size small.

These had nice features with lots of pockets and zip off to shorts. But the lower part of the pant leg below the knee was far too wide. And the pants were way too long for me at 5' 7". I thought about re-hemming them, but they would still be too wide,and I didn't want to deal with that, so I had to return them and keep looking.

I took these pants on a very active hiking trip in June in UT and AZ. These pants were in water (the Narrows in Zion), sliding on sand (Coral Pink Sand Dunes), and sitting, sliding, and hiking in so many other locations. The pockets were fantastic - my phone fit great in the left bottom zipper pocket with out being in a leg crease. The pants to shorts option was fantastic to make changes on the fly. The zipper is protected on both sides and I never had the zipper hurt my thighs (did see that in a comment). I truly put the pants to the test - then again on a mission trip planting trees, digging, moving mulch - they held up to EVERYTHING!I'm 5'2 and 185lbs - I ordered the Large and they fit great. Yes, they do sound like rain pants if you really pay attention - but it didn't bother me. Yes, the legs were too long - but I tightened the pull cord and tucked the cord into the pants leg. It never came out!I did wash the pants several times in the sink and hung them to dry - they dried by the next morning. Just perfect!

I love these pants since it's very comfortable and light. I used it during a camping trip. It protected my legs from getting scratched up and getting any unwanted allergies. It was quite humid since it was monsoon season and I'm very sweaty by nature. Other materials would make the pants stick to my skin but I didnt have that issue at all. I also poured water on myself during hiking and these dried up pretty quick even with the humidity. I'd definitely recommend this.

Quality was alright one of the zippers didn’t even open. I like the lightweight material and the price was good. Easy to use and versatile I would have kept them if they fit me right. I’m short and curvy weighing 135 at 5ft tall the pants fit me great but when turned into shorts they fit tighter on my thighs than I like.

Fit great! I enjoyed the pockets and performance of these pants. The only thing it needs is a way to adjust the waistband- would recommend getting a belt for the best fit!

I bought these for upcoming trip to Ireland. They look great feel great and will keep me from getting soaking wet in the rain and weather.

Fit perfectly. Nice material. Super comfy. Light weight. Bought them for a safari trip. Will definitely get plenty of use. Before, during, and after the trip.

I bought these to hike in through the summer months, love the zip off, they sit just in the right place on the leg, despite being 5'3" I have quite long legs and they are not too long or short sitting above the knee, lightweight breathable fabric means they stay comfy and dry quickly. Also the pockets are great for my lens caps when I'm out with my DSLR camera.

True to size, really comfy and stretchy!
