Picholine French Provence Gourmet Green Olives 200 gr 7 oz jar

I missed the buttery taste of these olives after our local store stopped selling picholines at the olive bar and was worried these wouldn’t have the same great taste; but they do.The jar was wrapped like King Tut - first a layer of plastic and tape several mils thick, then bubble wrap, then a tightly fitting cardboard box, then more bubble wrap, then plastic again. A little tough to open but product arrived OK!

I really enjoy all varieties of olives, and these are one of my top favorites. The firm, crisp texture and slightly salty taste combine to create a tasty appetizer, snack, or salad addition. These olives are not pitted, so you could trim off the olive sections from the pit if need be. The package arrived quickly and in perfect condition. As these jars are glass, the careful protective padding used by the seller guaranteed a successful delivery. Excellent quality and service.

Very good product. Olives have a great texture. I wish it had a bit more briny taste. Trader Joe's used to hav Picholines that were superb. I haven't found any that is comparable but these came close. I would probably order again.

I am so addicted to these things and Amazon is the only place I can find them. They are mild and they have sort of a pistacio flavor and I adore them! I've served them to guests along with a fruit and cheese platter and always receive compliments.

as a child I was restrained from having my fill so grabbed the opportunity to try one highly touted as an absolute yummy, what a disappointment! it was very soft and flat tasting. perhaps it was the cure. in any event will not purchase again I would put these in the same category as the canned American black olive--decorative in a dish. but why bother when there are truly great tasting olives

These are delicious! Firm, slightly salty, great flavor. I will be buying more!

Picholines can be difficult to find in the US. To my taste this is the best brand.
