X AUTOHAUX 2Pcs 15 Inch 400N/90LB Black Car Lift Supports Struts Gas Spring

Had tried others for my project, but they were either too weak, or too strong. These items were ideal, as they came as a pair, and had all the necessary fitting brackets (lots of others don't have the brackets, which is annoying) and were inexpensive. Work really well, and look good! Tiny niggle, the fixing holes for the brackets are more suited to bolts, rather than screws. If intending to use screws, please ensure that you have suitable washers to hold the screw heads.

As others have said . There is no way these are 400N/90lb . Mine were locked SOLID !The struts were bending rather than compressing . ZERO movement .Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control by the time I was able to test/fit them the return window had passed .Personally I would look elsewhere and pay heed to the reviews .

There is no manual! Doesn’t seem to have a pressure release nut, so it doesn’t close, any help from sell would be much appreciated

Virtually useless. Won't compress even with a 20 stone bloke leaning on them.No instructions with product.
