They don't rust, but they will chip.
Prices for the blades are stratospheric. But I'm a geek for exotic tools and I couldn't help myself. So I tortured tested the blades. They are not as sharp as a ceramic knife or a finely honed steel blade. But they are harder than steel. They take slightly more pressure to keep up but they do last longer. Git one for your wife they're trendy!
