Subtraction (Flash Kids Flash Cards)

Subtraction can be really hard for my kids and these flash cards have come in very handy. I can quickly rattle through a few of the cards with each of them to help improve those subtraction skills.

Good set of flashcards for subtraction.

I have bought this set for my twin 6yo daughters who just finishing their Year 1. All children are different, but I found that these cards were too easy for them by the time I have bought them -- 6 months earlier would be better. Mind you, they felt VERY smart after going through 10 double cards without making a single mistake.The set is really very good -- the size of cards is convenient and as they are double sided this is twice the fun. The only thing -- you may need to cover the answer to the problem on the back side with you finger when showing the card to you child.With this type of cards we play the simple game -- I show the card and, if answered correctly, give it to child, otherwise I keep it to myself. In the end we check who got more cards.So, I definitely recommend them -- I suggest buying them at the end or Reception / start of Year 1 and then try them during the year to see if your child is old enough for them.

I find that German schools dont spend enough time with the basics before moving on to a new math concept.These cards are simple to use (the answer is in the upper corner, facing the card holder), durable and go up to the "17's".0-0 up to 17-16. No repeating cards, and you can take out all the 3's or 5's if thats what you want to practice. Obviously since there are no negative numbers the 3's are only 3-0, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3...The addition cards are also good.I only gave a 4 because there is really no competition in Germany, this is pretty much all thats available.
