Lighting 14 Inch Wide Retro Farm Style Schoolhouse Ceiling Light in Bronze Finish and Milk Frosted Glass

If I could do it over, I’d have purchased something with some color. Maybe Tiffany-like.I’ve included a photo of this 14” schoolhouse-style fixture in our 1980s townhome dining room so you can see how it looks in that context. (Please ignore the clutter☺️)I just think it looks a little boring.Installation was easy.NOTE: Some lightbulb packages have fine print that says you can’t use the lightbulbs in closed-fixtures. I’ve noticed this warning on some LED bulb boxes, which doesn’t make sense to me because aren’t LED bulbs less hot than incandescent? Anyway, check your bulb’s fine print before you install it. We only had 100watt LED bulbs, so I ended up screwing in an old 75w incandescent we had in the closet.

This fixture is antique bronze and attaches with screws facing down from the electrical box. They should have provided antique bronze end nuts to match the fixture. Instead they simply included silver nuts that were not even end nuts. Also, it wasn't evident until lit from inside by the bulb, but a significant area of the globe appears cloudy and gray. I'm going to see about getting a replacement.

We bought three of these lights, 8", 12", and 14". They are all three PERFECT and I love them for our Craftsman style remodel. The 14" is HUGE and gorgeous and perfect. What else can I say? It's really big, so make sure it's in a grand entry! :)

Pleased with this light, glas is heavy duty. Strange that mount bolts actually go through the glass but no problem.

Decent fixture for the price. It is on the large side. Good light with LED bulb.
