Great lighter for the money
I wanted a lighter with a similar design to the Douglas Field ‘L’ - which is a high end lighter made in Japan. The VVay version is a very close copy, and even has the extra storage compartment for a spare flint within the fuel retaining screw. It’s fantastic value for the money and built really well. My only gripe is that when operating the flint wheel to ignite, the wick cap does not sit at 90deg vertically, and you need to press down to ensure the flame does not touch the cap. - this is a very minor gripe, don’t let it out you off!

It's a very pretty old school lighter, the quality is far better than I expected and the unboxing experience is pure pleasure

Nice little trench lighter
Nice trench lighter nice and slim.Only issue i have had is one of the wheels for striking the flint spins without striking, but for me it dosent matter as it still works and lights first time

Solid and working
Got a good one with this one. Plenty of cotton means it doesn't need refills every 5 mins. Flint and wheel of good quality. I would like to order another but Amazon deliveries are functionally useless round my way and I won't receive it! Thumbs up for the seller tho! Glad I received mine!

Excellent build quality but unreliable
I can’t fault this for build quality which is amazing, but after a few weeks it started to be unreliable.So U replaced the flint and still no joy. In fact at one point it just fell apart. I would have liked to give this item more stars because it not only looks fantastic but it is very well made. However, if it doesn’t light on demand – what’s the point?

Looks good but doesn’t work
I love the way it looks and when you get it it feels sturdy and good quality but I’ve refilled it twice already and I’ve only used it about 5 times and it still won’t light. Even when it did light the flame was so low and small I could barely light anything with it. The flint mechanism has gone and I’ve literally used it 5 times. It looks good on the outside but it doesn’t work so no point in buying it.

Great vintage ‘style’ lighter
This one appealed especially, because it reminded me of the trench lighters from the Second World War. It’s a very solid construction, weighty and easy to light. Very reliable and highly recommend to anyone that likes their vintage style lighters.
