Retro Parts RP350C Chrome Locking Nut
This product does exactly what it is supposed to do. That is not what I needed it to do, hence the lower rating. In all fairness, it is my bad for trying to use the product incorrectly. For those who have a guitar bridge mechanism that is capable of 'fine tuning' this product is ideal. For those, like me, who do not have a guitar bridge mechanism that contains a fine tuner, this product is not intended for your use.Even when properly installed, this locking nut will cause your guitar to go ever so slightly out of tune when you tighten the locking nuts. That is not a problem if your guitar has the correct bridge assembly... that is a bridge assembly that incorporates precision turners. After you tighten the locking nut, you can correct the tuning deviation that is caused when the locking nut engaged, using your precision tuners. This locking nut is intended to be used only on guitars that have the 'fine tuning' feature incorporated into the bridge mechanism. There are 'work arounds' but they can only be performed by a professional Luther.

It is bad needs modifications
It is the only replacement i could find for my original part. and it cuts strings whenever you tighten the nut.It fits great, but i lost two string sets to find out that i need to modify it by installing shims under the strings.

but it works great. There's not a lot of room on most ...
You have to file the string slots to fit the strings. Don't use your nut files that are for plastic, bone, or Tusq. You will ruin them. Buy a set of small files from Harbor Freight... The small ledge on the front and back of the nut between the base and the locks, causes a shearing effect which cuts the stings. Minimize that and you won't cut strings anymore. Be cautious of fret board radius if your replacing the original nut, and try to match the radius of the original nut. I know it's not what the manufacturer intended, but it works great. There's not a lot of room on most of the made in Mexico or USA fender necks for an Ibanez style or Floyd Rose locking nut. But this works with some slight reengineering. You can also cut a piece of brass material you can get at hobby stores or Home Depot and lay in the space between the front and back of the nut. The brass is softer than the other materials. (String / nut)Guitars are very fine instruments and it's very hard to find a guitar part or accessory that will install without some adjustment.Hope this helps someone out there
