If you don't own a GOOD water filter, one that removes bacteria and other pollutants then get one. You say your tap water is safe...true...up until it's not. There is no substitute for safe drinking water. I have owned a Berkefeld for over 25 years and the quality of this kind of filtration is unbeatable. The filters can last literally for years! Your water tastes so good because IT IS. Out with the chlorine, Fluoride and anything else that's found its way into your water supply. Just clean safe great tasting water. Best filters on the market imho.

Run in old Big Berkey.Anysize will do in it.These might pop lid a little,no problem.Only run 1 at a time.I've used up to almost two years before retiring for a new one.Then put aside in storage GAC will get less effective but ceramic could last a LONG LONG time.Scrub surface periodically.Boil in pan of tap water annually,to recharge/purge GAC interior of chemical contaminants.=good enough for tap or longer with decent well water.This supplier packed them well with no issues.Positive review,would use them again. CLEAN AIR SUPPLY

The dimensions were unclear. I understood the length to include the threaded portion of the filter, and it doesnt. So, the filters stick up too high for the Big Berky lid to rest on it's seat. With a little rearranging of the rubber grommets, the lid sticks up, but not as bad.Otherwise, value was a win. Doulton is the same co. As British Berkfield.

Works With Berkey Light, Just as it states in the Description. These 10 Inchers fit perfectly in the Berkey Light. The Drip Is WAAAAAAY Slower than the Black Berkeys. Seems like 3/4 gallon an hour with my tap water. This is to be expected because the Doultons have a finer Micron Rating. My Berkey PF-2 Flouride Filters will not attach to these Doultons though. You need the PF-4 filters for the Ceramic type filters like these Doultons. The threads on the Doultons are too big for the PF-2's. I'm opting out of the whole Flouride filter thing though bc as other reviewers have stated, I had the white powder in my water and it was there for months. That was with my 1st set. My second set was fine but forget all that. I'm Just using these Doultons to get the Chlorine and Chloramine out and Using a Distiller to remove the Flouride.Also I drilled 2 extra holes in the top tank so I can use 4 filters at once.

Perfect for home made gravity filters. I suggest running 3 rounds of water through them then let them completely dry for about a week before storing. It gets a bit faster drippage after 2-3 uses to prime them. Fairly decent price.

I have a Berkey. Used the Berkey filter at first, big pain. To me, the water taste better and you don't have to prime them like the Berkey filters. Have been using them for about a year and a half. I change them out every four months.

Was looking for a cheaper way than the Berkey filter and I stumbled across this. I would say I could buy more of the filter and will have more water available to me in short time as opposed to original Berkey filter. Taste are the same according to my family so we are good. Will continue buying! Using Berkey Royale.
