I used all the parts in this kit because my old thermistor stopped functioning. Nope is The motherboard can read anymore. Everything else works except the temperature reading. NonsenseThis thermistor sticks out of the heatblock - Thermistor seems longer than the original OEM. I have other thermistors on order so I will update this, if those thermistors work then this one could have been DOA or not compatible, not sure, I am not really that savvy on how thermistors work or if they are interchangeable. Apparently the firmware on the board may have something to do with the reading of the thermistors. SO I do not know yet

I have been having a lot of problems with my Sidewinder X1. The print quality had gotten very bad which I finally tracked down to a bad heat break, nozzle, PTFE tube combination. This kit came with everything I needed and now my printer is back up and printing well.Some of my original parts were still ok but I decided to switch to using all this kits parts and I don't regret it. The only issue I did have is the included thermister was longer than the original and does stick out in a strange way. Although it looks a little weird, It can still be secured, used, and covered up with the heat sock. Initially I considered returning the kit, but was surprised that after contacting bczamd, they quickly got back to me and made things right. That alone makes it easy to recommend this kit. Now my printer is back up and running and I am happy with the results.I if you are looking for a new hotend, heat break, nozzles, heat sock, thermister, or tensioner arm, this kit is definitely worth considering. Getting the OEM version of these would cost a lot more and other than the strange thermister, I don't think there is any quality difference. The stock plastic tensioner arm on the X1 always breaks and the all metal one in included this kit alone is worth about half the price of this whole kit.If you are looking for that alone, it makes this kit a no brainer for all the extras you receive.

My hot end on my Sidewinder X1 stopped extruding filament after about a year of use. It would randomly clog and not push filament (see first image)Turns out the PTFE tube inside the hot end had degraded and collapsed, causing clogs. I replaced the hotend assembly with this one and tested it with a benchy - and it worked AMAZINGLY. Honestly the best benchy I've ever printed! (see second image)

My Hot End needed replacing along with the heater and thermistor. The kit worked flawlessly. Lots of extra nozzles a big plus!Would buy again (but hope I won't need too...)

solid upgrade for my sidewinder. original parts were failing and this upgraded almost all the parts and prints are coming out smoother than before. installation takes about 20min but can be done with minimal tools.

Great little upgrade for your printer. The aluminum tensioner ensures you won't have it break on you like some people have had issues with using the plastic one. I really just purchased this to get all the hot ends, but everything else worked nicely. Would recommend.

Needs the new kraken thermal break instead though.
