Works well for my loveseat
I read every review about the various pet furniture covers available on Amazon, as well as several other retailer's products. It was with great trepidation that I clicked the order button for this item, because no cover seemed to be the overall best performer in any category. All I wanted was something to save my beige microfiber loveseat from the unrelenting shedding and incessant licking that my three dogs inflict on the furniture. Daily vacuuming, lint rolling, shampooing, sprinkling with powders...no matter what I did, fur and wet spots greeted me regularly. (Yes, I could train the dogs to stay off the furniture, but I'm simply not that kind of pet owner...they sit with me :) ) I accepted that I would be regularly adjusting the cover and simply chose the one that was sized, priced and available in a color I thought would blend with the rest of the space. This cover works quite well - better than I expected. I have to adjust it perhaps three times per day...not bad when there's 1-3 dogs on it literally dozens of times per day. I think they key is...READ THIS...this cover is designed to be used on a microfiber loveseat. It is NOT made of microfiber. I think the product name is misleading in that respect. If you have a smooth-textured fabric or real or faux leather, this would be a waste of money. But the microfiber surface grabs onto the backing of this cover, and gets some traction, so it stays somewhat in place (until 60 lbs of dog jumps on, of course). I also measured every dimension on my loveseat just to be sure it would tuck and fit properly. If you don't take the time to do that, you may very well end up wasting your money, as there is quite a bit of variation from one brand to another in their sizing of the product "loveseat cover." This product fits my loveseat very nicely - some extra for tucking to secure, and just enough arm and back overhang. I've considered sewing some kind of weights at the corners of the overhang flaps to see if that would anchor it even more, but so far the need has not been great. In summary, it fits, it washes (and releases most fur) nicely, and stays in place better than I'd hoped. If you want something that doesn't ever shift, untuck or slip awry, get a real elasticized slipcover. This product is an inexpensive alternative that works nicely, so long as you know your furniture's size and fabric and confirm this product is designed for YOUR furniture.

Doesn't work well
I bought a new microfiber couch last year and ever since then I've noticed that my dog drools a lot more than I thought she did. Previously I had a couch that was made of a different color and material - very textured and wool-like - and I guess (ick) the drool wasn't as noticeable. I've been cleaning the little spots on the couch daily or every other day and am just over it. The couch cleans beautifully but it's getting to be tedious. I thought these covers might look more attractive than a throw blanket and do the job. I have a sectional with an even amount of space on each side so I bought two. I was planning on just overlapping the ends in the middle. I knew there might be a gap in the middle over the back and planned on buying a third depending on how big the gap ended up being.1. I measured my couch before purchasing. I'm a sewer so I know how to measure. This product is smaller than I thought it was going to be, even taking into account the edges that are meant to go over the arms. It barely went over the back of my couch although I will say I have a kind of bulky, overstuffed sectional so it could be that this is designed for a more traditional type of couch. When I say it barely covered the back I mean that it barely overlapped the top of the couch to hang a small flap over the back.3. It doesn't stay in place. It supposedly has a non-stick back, it looks like the underside of some bed spreads, white and textured. Even so, it continually shifted, bunched up, the back fell down onto the seat, etc.4. This is advertised as microfiber but to me it feels like a regular old cotton-poly blend. I don't know what the exact definition of microfiber is but this certainly isn't close to the material of my couch.5. Description says it's machine washable but the instructions say to hang dry. Granted, the description didn't say it was machine washable AND dryable but when I buy a product like this that's supposedly durable and meant to handle spills and pet stains I'm inclined to assume it's both washable and dryable. i live in a small, 1-bedroom apartment. I certainly don't have any place to hang dry these. They're in my washer right now and I'm not really sure where they're going to go from there.Overall, very disappointed. I'm going to ask my friends and co-workers, if anyone wants to take them off my hands they're welcome to have them and see if they work better for them than they did for me. This is one of those times I wish that returning things to Amazon was easier.I've come back to add this last bit here. These ARE NOT machine dry. I put them in the dryer on low heat for only 20 minutes and the white backing melted in a couple of spots. Definitely not user friendly for a family with kids or pets.

Use upholstery pins to anchor tabs and these will stay in place.
We bought this furniture protector for a loveseat that is identical in shape to the one pictured, as well as the chair and couch sizes. The loveseat protector fits exceptionally well. The couch size fits fine. The recliner chair size is skimpy. The fabric is lightweight, which is helpful when they need to be washed and dried. We have 3 small dogs that lick their feet due to allergies. This fabric absorbs their drool, but keeps it from getting through to the couch cushions. Not waterproof, but absorbent and quick drying. Since the fabric and batting are so thin and light, we seldom end up sitting on wet spots (sorry if TMI - gross reality). We swap furniture covers out for washing once a week, so these get laundered frequently. The fabric has become soft but has held its shape. This type of cover, in our experience, will not stay in place by itself. It does have tabs that fit between the seat and the back and between the seat and the arms. If you use twist pins or upholstery pins to anchor these tabs, the cover will stay in place perfectly. A couple of twist pins across the top will keep the back from slipping forward/down.The best upholstery pins that I have found for this purpose are these exceptionally strong ones: Dritz 44009 Upholstery Pins, 2-1/2-Inch, 30-Pack We have purchased the couch size cover in this style for a recliner couch (two end seats recline) and use upholstery pins to anchor the tabs between the back and arms. I cut slits to divide the part that hangs down in front into 3 sections and finished the cut edges with bias binding/tape. With this 30-minute alteration either or both of the recliners can be used without pulling the cover out of place.I'm surprised that there are no furniture protectors made to fit recliner couches, but this fix is easy.

Does the job but hard to keep on the couch
Read the reviews and, yup, same issues as everyone else. Falls down a lot. Very hard to get on or off the couch without it coming off the back or the arm of the couch. Also find it's just a couple inches too short width-wise. It would be nice if it wasn't one giant piece - I would cut the arm flaps off and hem them myself but I don't think the material would be long enough to not look stupid. It does look nice when freshly applied to the couch and does protect against kid and dog dirt and hair, but even after washing the dog hair sticks to the material pretty good. I take a sticky lint roller to it after washing sometimes. Also I didn't find it shrunk much when I put it in the dryer. It was already too small so I figured wth at least the dryer would help get the dog hair off it and yeah, it barely shrunk. 3 stars.

great cover if you have pets or kids
Great cover for our cream colored couch. With an active dog and cat who play constantly around the couch, a cover is a necessity! My onpy complaint would be that the arms are not elasticized so the cover easily moves and must constantly be tucked in to stop it from shifting. Other than that, it washes and dries very well . I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of this cover.

Its not what I was looking for. I thought it was going to be a heavier material, however it was very light and every time I sat on down it bunched up or the back would fall on our heads. It basically did not stay in place... It did not meet my expectations and I returned it.

these would be great, but higher backed chairs might need velco or ...
I ordered a full set for my furniture. These are as they are shown, fabric texture is not rough at all, however... my furniture all have fairly high backs, so the covers are constantly falling down and need to be starightened. If you have low backed chairs etc, these would be great, but higher backed chairs might need velco or pins to help hold it in place.

Don't buy
Does not stay on couch. Not worth the money. It also doesn't fit the couch we have... so it's useless for that purpose. Going to use as a car seat protector now.
