ASICS Womens Baseline Fitted Volleyball Short

I've been playing volleyball for about 25 years and these are by far the most comfortable spandex I've ever owned.The flat seam construction is great = no rubbing in undesirable places. Plus they were smart with seam location (not down the middle front like most other spandex shorts). These shorts also have a light liner at the crotch region.Inseam length is perfect. The leg openings are a stitch too loose, but I've not had issues with them riding up.I ordered a small and am 5'5" and 120lbs. Waist fit perfect (I have 26" waist) and legs a little loose (22" thigh, 37" hips). I probably could have gone down a size, but very satisfied with my purchase overall. Comfortable, quality product! I want a pair in every color.

I use spandex shorts for weightlifting. I've tried many pairs and these are among my favorite. These shorts are great because there is no center seam, so there is waaay less of a camel toe than with other shorts. It's very difficult to find shorts without that seam! I also have an athletic build with bigger thighs for my waist size. These types of compression shorts are usually either too tight in the thighs or too loose in the waist, but these fit perfectly. I'm 5ft5, 145lbs, usually size S/M, 28 jeans, or 6. I got these in a medium. The material is on the thin side, which makes them very stretchy and breathable but will also show cellulite on your butt. I got the green color and they don't seem see-through.

So I’m a tiny girl, but I like to work out, and I have a hard time finding anything small enough for me that doesn’t leave my butt hanging out or squish it so tight that it’s sore. These are small enough for my tiny waist but stretch comfortably in the behind and the material is nice. Definitely a good find. The only downside is that the fabric pulls a little odd in the crotch but it still gets a 5 star rating for looking so good on the waist and in the back.

I recently purchased and wore my ASICS Baseline Vb Short to the gym and here are my thoughts:Pros- Nice stretchy material. It didn't feel too wet or damp during and after workout.- I got the size xxs and fits me good. It wasn't too small (which I was slightly afraid of), but I did find the leg opening slightly loose. For reference, I am 5' and 95lbs and usually wear a 24 or 00p in jeans.- Length for my height was perfect, not too short to look inappropriate or too long to make it look like 80's bike shorts on me.- I got it for under $10 on Amazon, so the price was perfect.- I didn't find the shorts to ride up when walking or jogging, but on the elliptical and cycling machines, it was a different story for me.Cons- I do wish the waistband was made out of a wider seamless material to hide tummy imperfection. There is a big rubber band sewn underneath the fabric, and gives me a bit of a mushroom top if I don't pull the shorts high enough.- Because the leg opening was slightly loose on me, the shorts rode up my thighs when I used the elliptical and cycling machines.FYI- The crotch is fully line for those who are interested, but I'm not one to wear it in lieu of my underwear.- I haven't used this to do yoga or zumba, so I don't know if they will ride up or not during those sessions.- Shorts are tag free.

There is a story here that I won’t bore you with, but let’s just say I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of ASICS volleyball spandex like these for the last 15 years. These are them. Slightly longer inseam that stayed put, and a mid waist to keep everything else in. Best of all these DO NOT have a center seam, so no cameltoe. These are a dark enough material that breathes well, yet thick enough to not need to wear underwear. True to size, normally 6/M, ordered medium. Looking forward to having these for another 15 years..

Got these for Volleyball for my daughters. They actually have and elastic band at the waste like shorts. So you could buy them bigger than needed and still wear them with out having them being skin tight. First short I've seen with that type of fit. My 10 year old and 13 year old tried them on and they fit them both fine. Tight like a normal pair of volleyball shorts on the 13 year old. Somewhat loose on my 10 year old but she could have wore them on the court and not had to pull them up and they would not have looked odd or noticeable loose. So if not comfortable with skin tight and you are not wanting to be the prude against skin tight shorts while still wanting your daughter to fit in with the team look these could be the perfect short for you. Personally I don't really care (but I'm a dad) mom cares a bit and is very happy with these.

These shorts ride up when I run - wish they came in 5". Loved the quality of the material - but found myself yanking my short legs down throughout the whole run. I'm 5'6 and 180 pounds . . . running to lose more weight (lost 30lbs last year) and purchased a size large. Fit fine, just rode up once I got to running.

These are great! and they look great on, my 5th grader loves them; these are much more modest than the short, shorts we see worn by many of her teenage team mates on the volleyball team. I bought the small, she probably could have worn the XS however I wanted her to be able to wear these next year too. The shorts cover her bum and come down just above her mid thigh; not as long as a bike short. They look great and she fits in as though she were wearing the short, shorts...just a little more modest as I said before. Very comfortable; she'll have plenty of room to grow tall in these. They're just like the picture in length. Just perfect!
