Fits the Kenmore fridge, confusing instructions
Fit the fridge filter port. I had not seen one of these kinds of fittings before where the nipple side is built into the fridge, but this fit my rental house Kenmore fridge.Seems to do a good job filtering the water. No strange taste from the notoriously hard water in San Jose near Alum Rock.4-stars because one side of the package tells you to run 2 minutes/2 gallons through the filter while the other side instructs you to run 5+ gallons through the filter prior to use. I watered a bunch of my outdoor plants today.

Water comes out tasteless (in a good way) but it takes a long time to prime
These filters are much cheaper than the OEM Kitchenaid filter cartridges and works well. The water comes out crisp and tasteless which is what I look for in a good water filter. However, there are a few concerns that I have with the product. I've bought generic filter cartridges from other companies in the past and they're worked much better than these in terms of water flow. Usually when I switch out my filters, I would notice a significant increase in the water pressure. These cartridges seem to keep the flow of water at the same level or maybe even lower compared to my used cartridge that I was replacing. Also, it took a lot of water to prime the filter to where little particles of stuff stopped coming out. I think I went through close to 4 or 5 gallons of water before the water started dispensing without particulates. I almost thought the cartridge was defective and was close to giving up after seeing how many salad bowls filled with water I had to toss out.Overall, It's an okay product. It's very affordable but I'll probably try a different generic brand once I'm done using these 3 cartridges.

Great filters, half the cost of manufacturer's replacements.
We bought in bulk, as our family uses the fridge water dispenser as the home watering hole. When cooking, drinking, or chunking out ice, the filter does and excellent job, even in late Fall, when out local water, lake sourced, turns all kinds of funky. Even the Missus drinks water from the fridge, and she's picky about water.
