Stainless Steel Pill Cutter

I purchased two (2) cutters, which were well packed with an informative invoice/flyer, and promptly delivered.I hoped that these cutters would replace a similar simpler cutter. (Its blade became dull after years of use). Upon inspection of my two new cutters, I was disappointed to note that there is a pair of arms at each of their sides, which seem to be intended to stabilize the cutter, though after several uses, I can report with certainty that the arms more likely are a well-intended classic example of over-engeneering, which does a dandy job of making it impossible to retrieve my pill pieces with my fingers. Since the arms prevented me from picking my pill pieces out of the cutter, I had to fully open the device, and dump my pills out (ideally onto a piece of cloth to prevent the pieces from bouncing away).The sad thing is, I have managed to cut about 5 or 6 out of 10 of my quarter inch pills with convex sides in half.There must be a way for design wizzards to overcome this, and while they're at it, save some plastic by doing away with those bothersome arms! There's too much design intended to ensure an even cut, yet not enough design to accommodate rounded pill sides and easy retrieval of pill pieces. (Great seller, but a so-so product.)

I need a cutter that is like one I already have that is old. I need to be able to cut small pills into eighths. I ordered this cutter because the photo looks exactly like my older one. However what I got is an entirely different cutter with two compartments in front, a differently styled pill holder area that is not level, and a lock on the lid so that each time the lid is pressed down to cut, the unit locks and must be unlocked. I will not be able to use what I got at all. The seller informed me that what I got matches the written description ("blue" and "cuts pills in half.") I can't believe how difficult it is to get a simple pill cutter.

Recently I bought a pill cutter for my sister when I was visiting her, and it worked great, but I couldn't get back to that store soI ordered this one instead from Amazon because it had good reviews. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well at all. Instead of cleanly cutting tablets in half, they often end up in smaller bits, probably because of both a too dull blade and a poor design.Not recommended at all.

I have to cut big tablets that are in a oblong shape. It is difficult, but not impossible. The triangle/funnel shape makes it difficult to get the tablet to stay exactly parallel. If you only need to cut round tablets, this product would work great. If they made this product with a square funnel shape, it would be helpful for oblong tablets.

This pill cutter is simple and very effective. I cuts the pills clean without crushing them. We tried several others but they were much more difficult for our elderly parent (88 yrs old). This was the answer and we highly recommend this product.

This cutter works well and divides a pill evenly but it is made of a fairly light plastic. As a result whenever I use it (every other day) I get the feeling it might twist and break at the hinges when compressed. Otherwise it works well and was shipped and delivered promptly.

Don't know how I lived without a pill cutter for so long. I have dogs with different meds and dosages. This makes life much easier. After a couple of years with this it is still working very well.

This cuts pills, not always evenly but close enough. Cheap and sturdy. Better than the ones available at the local drugstore and less expensive.
