Bought these for my 14 foot Jon boat trailer and they work well. For lighter boats you can space them out farther too

just what was needed
WORKED LIKE A CHARM! My 21 ft G3CCJ is a beast to get off the trailer, this option was way better and cheaper than installing rollers.

Works like it should.
Works as advertised and does exactly what I expected. Using on 16 ft. flat bottom Jon on a tilt trailer. Use care when launching as other reviews have said. Makes it much easier to load and unload. I'm purchasing a winch with a hand brake to control the slide using the tilt trailer. You will scuff the bottom of the boat and lose a little paint, but that is to be expected and is a very minor trade off as far as I am concerned. So far no adverse affect on the rivets**Update: after writing this review I decided to take another look under the boat, and apparently I was mistaken. A few of my rivets have apparently been adversely affected by the pads. Worse case is that a couple of them have received some significant scoring. My guess is that the rivets sit deeper than the screws are recessed inside the countersunk mounting holes. I may be wrong about this, but I don't know any other way it could have scored the rivets that much. It is significant enough that I have decided to remove the pads and go back to carpet. I just ordered a can of "Liquid Rollers" off of Amazon, and will coat the new carpet I have to now install (after cutting out spaces for the pads) and see how that works. Keep in mind that I launch my Jon in shallow water using a tilt trailer--which means I do not back it into the water and float the boat on and off. I slide the boat off the bunks to launch full tilt, then winch it up full tilt on the bunks. If you have t tilt trailer you know what I am talking about. Probably not the best way to go for a riveted bottom it seems. It was worth a try, but I'm going back to carpet and try the liquid rollers. Not trying to bash this product. Just sharing my experience in hopes that it helps others make an informed purchase.Lastly, I am confident that if I didn't have a riveted bottom boat, I would keep the pads on. They work well other than the aforementioned issue.

... have only used them twice and they have worked fine but I want to share an installation experience
I have only used them twice and they have worked fine but I want to share an installation experience. I installed them over carpet. Per the instructions, I used a drill driver to get the screws in and then hand tightened them for the final turn or two so I would not over tighten them. When completed all of the screw heads were below the surface of the pad. When loading my 21' aluminum boat I could tell something was not right so I got it off of the trailer and found that a couple of screw heads were now higher than the pad and resulted in some scratches to the bottom of the boat. After looking the situation over it appeared the weight of the boat compressed the pads against the carpet which resulted in a couple of the screw heads being higher than the pad. I went back with the drill driver and further tightened each of the screws. I was able to tighten each screw more due to compression of the carpet. I then reloaded the boat and it went on nicely. When I launched the boat a week later it came off of the trailer easily and then I checked the screws to see if they needed any additional tightening. Most of them turned a little bit when I put the drill driver to them. Based on my experience, I suggest if you are installing over carpet you need to tighten more than the instructions suggest. It is also important to have a screw driver and drill driver bit that fit the screw head well. The screw heads require a wide Phillips pattern and if a narrow pattern is used it is easy to strip the head out because the screw heads are a little on the soft side.
