The heat is also adjustable from simmer to intense, by adjusting the fuel supply. It’s also one of the lightest, most portable rocket stoves on the market! How does it work? Simple. You light a small fire inside the combustion chamber, then insert some sticks (the dryer the better) horizontally into the stove. Within a minute or two the stove is ready for cooking. As the fuel burns, nudge the sticks in according to the intensity of heat required. The stove is a rocket stove design, meaning it uses a clever mix of insulation and air venting to ensure a clean, intense burn. Primary air is drawn in under the fuel, and secondary air (to burn off the smoke) is drawn in over the fuel. The double-walled stainless steel combustion chamber provides just the right environment for combustion. The stove literally boils smoke out of the wood, then burns it! EZY - STOVE - says it all.This really is a ROCKET stove. I put a five gallon pot of cold water on it and brought it to a rolling boil with "trash sticks" - ie - stuff I raked up with my fingers off the ground - no cutting, no sawing.If you want something you can REALLY USE in an emergency with only a LITTLE BIT of ANY scraps you can find or cut - this is the stove.The base ring makes it EXTREMELY stable. It is NOT going to tip over. The top ring holds HUGE PANS, dutch ovens, etc. or little pots / pans. This is SUPER sturdy. Those rings and rods are not "decorations" or "pot rings" - they are STRONG!!!I would not consider a BOB system complete without this EZY STOVE and a KELLY KETTLE.Get yourself a couple of silky saws and a pair of fiskars loppers to cut little wood without all that chopping and you're all set.NO need for a chainsaw, axe, cords of wood, hours of fuel burning, - this is the Next Level of cooking efficiency.I watched the videos, but they do not do it justice.When you have actually used it - and are AMAZED - only then can you appreciate the quality and efficiency of this product.And the price is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!GET ONE.
