EVGA SuperNOVA 850 Ga, 80 Plus Gold 850W, Fully Modular, ECO Mode with Dbb Fan, 10 Year Warranty, Compact 150mm Size, Power Supply 220-GA-0850-X1

The EVGA SuperNOVA 850 is impressive. I have always choose EVGA for PC parts as they are premium quality and very reliable. That said, I purchased this to replace my old PSU so I can suppose the new line of graphics cards. That said, for an 850W PSU it's about the same size as my 650W PSU and has an Eco Mode feature.Pros:* Modular PSU with selectable wires (this was a game-changer).* Eco Mode* Fits inside some incredibly small cases (Mine is a NZXT H510i)* Runs extremely quiet.Cons:* Some of these wires are insanely long and could probably benefit for consumers to have additional cables in shorter lengths included as well.All aside, I wanted to find a reason to return this. I didn't want to spend an extra $100+ to replace the one that's working fine but learned the hard way. My advice is that if you're looking to buy a mainstream parts, especially GPUs.. aim for a few hundred watts higher than the recommended so there's room for upgrades (if necessary) throughout your build for years to come.

Outstanding PSU from a maker known for quality. Easy install. Modular (plug on the cables you need, not a pigtail of cables coming out of the back). Only issue I had was the 24 pin Motherboard cable's 8 pin end that goes into the PSU was two 4 pin plugs with there own wide snap latch, clearly incompatible with the CPU plug on the back of the PSU (see pic). I had to twist off the latches, th,en it fit perfectly. This end should be a single 8 pin with one narrow latch. Kinda odd from such a good maker.

The power supply is working great so far. The modular power cables are nicely sleeved. I have not had any issues yet with the few EVGA power supplies I have bought over the years.On a side note:Amazon has a weird way deciding on how to package items for shipping. My $130 power supply was shipped in a plastic bag while my $40 fans were shipped nicely in a box with excessive air cushions. The manufacturer’s packaging for my power supply was all bent around the corners edges because it was only packaged in a plastic bag so who knows how it’s been mishandled or thrown around. We’ll see how long it lasts. Buyers be warned, yours may be packaged the same as others have also stated on here.

This power supply is a great upgrade, or perfect for your new build.Very nice design and appearance, fully modular so you can chose the correct wires and only the wires you need.All black coating and wires looks clean and really hides that ugly ketchup mustard wire look from competitors power supplies.Wattage and voltage is as advertised and consistent.Highly recommend all EVGA products

So far so good working with a 30 series card, 3080 ti with a ryzen7 2700x with lots of Rgb pwm fans and plenty of usb's drawing power. i will update if anything changes but as of now this PSU is a great deal for under $100 with a 10 year warranty. i would still say if you are running a new setup with a 6900xt/3080 or higher you still might want to go for 1000w to have plenty of power for any other upgrades. if you are a little short on cash (like me) the 850w is still plenty for basic high end gamming pc's. keep in mind that i am not playing any 8k games so can not state anything with that. Hope this helps anyone that was (like me) freaking out about it not working with 3080's.

For my first ever PC build, I chose this PSU. It is 850W, so it is somewhat future-proof (I'm not a gamer and will not be purchasing one of those newer GPUs that require a small nuclear reactor for power). It is fully modular, which is very nice. I have tons of cables left over, so plenty of future expansion capability for the future. I have never heard its fan - the only fans I've heard are the case fans, which are be quiet! 140mm Pure Wings 2, pretty quiet on their own accord. I would highly recommend this PSU to anyone.

Bought this for my custom build in 2021. It just now failed in 2024. I bought EVGA because my last custom built had one and I had no issues. When it failed, my primary concern was that it took other parts out with it on its way out. I specifically bought a pricier power supply so that if it ever did fail it would do so safely. This one did. This PSU comes with a 10 year warranty and EVGA delivered a painless replacement experience for me. Having just reinstalled it, I'm relieved to say everything is fine! Just a random PSU failure but no harm done besides some down time and the shipping I paid for to send it to them. They cover the return trip.Can't rightly give it 5 stars because ultimately you don't want a PSU to fail period, but they delivered in every other department. Thanks!

I purchased this EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GA, 80 Plus Gold 850W over 3 years ago and it has been operating flawlessly and silently ever since. I am in my third system upgrade since originally purchasing it and it has been the beating heart of the system, keeping everything well powered and stable. It is still relevant today even with the more power hungry hardware that I am throwing at it.The included cables are plentiful, well identified, making it easy to install and power everything. I don't have any cons about this product. It should continue to operate solidly for many years to come.

Dead after 7 month , they want me to pay for the shipping from canada to usa and not 100% safe that i will get one after that.Don't waste your money on that and buy another brand.Edit: After some talk with EVGA they ship me a box to put my power supply at no charge and they shipped me a brand new one at no cost.Nice after sale customer sevices ,very happy ending.

Don’t know what happened but the power supply just died and wouldn’t turn on. This was ONLY after a month now I don’t know what to do..

Petit probleme le cable qui alimante le motherboard est petit sur ca longueur . Meton 1 cm de plus ca lui ferait pas tord. Jai reussi a passer ca et viser le power supply a ca place mais tres limite !
