Great fan, easy install, quiet and powerful.
We bought the 52 inch model, with light in Mahogany.Install:The fan is pre-wired to the remote control receiver. 3 wires to connect: black, white and ground, spliced and clearly labeled. All the wires fit with room to spare, no packing, twisting and fighting to shove them all into the housing. Simple 2 screws for mounting bracket. Mounting bracket includes a hook to hang the motor housing so no need for a second pair of hands. No pre-assembly of the fan unit, blades, etc. The blades snap in, no screws required. Pop in the bulb and simply twist the light cover to tighten, again no screws required. I am no handyman, this is for sure, and it took me less then 30 minutes start to finish. This has to be the easiest ceiling fan I have ever installed.Performance:We have the fan installed in the center of our bedroom which is 14x18 with 8 foot ceilings. The fan on low is all we need. On the medium setting it is moving our curtains around like a wind storm. Very quiet and no issues sleeping due to noise.The light is weak. But we may be biased as our last ceiling fan had 4 regular light bulbs that put out a lot of light.Con - if you can call it that:This fan is HEAVY! Weighing in at close to 30 pounds. You will need a fan box with brace rated for at least 50 pounds. Easy to install as well but adds to the install time. Do not try and use this fan without it the proper rated box, you will regret it.Conclusion:I love this fan. Honestly, I feel almost stupid for saying but I find myself staring up at this ceiling fan and smiling for long periods of time. Time will tell on reliability but for now life is cool again.

Better than air conditioning
August 2019 update: I am so sad to see this no longer available. These fans have been fantastic. They are super quiet and continue to work beautifully cooling the rooms. A friend just asked me about them because she wants to get them for her house so I was going to send her the website. If they are still making it, I know they were reviews that said it was noisy, but these are the absolute best. I use the remote as well as the wall switch. Great design!I got two of these ceiling fans, one for each bedroom, and couldn't be more pleased. They look great and the remote works beautifully. I keep it next to my bed so I can turn off the light when I go to sleep and adjust the fan if I wake up too hot or cold. It's truly whisper quiet but powerful. I usually only have to put it on low to be really comfortable and keep cool on a warm night. If it's really hot, I use the second setting but have never had to use the highest setting. Just couldn't be more pleased - in fact, it's been so great that my daughter got one in white for the bedroom in her house She discovered that she can put an LED light in and keep the room bright. I have a floor lamp and prefer the setting of the light as it came but it doesn't brighten up the entire room, just comfortable enough for bedtime which is perfect for me.

Nice Low-Profile Fan
Purchased this for use in our Master Bedroom. The flush mount combined with the low hanging depth makes it nice for a bedroom or other rooms with normal ceiling heights. Also nice for a bedroom fan, this unit is very quiet -- there is a low electrical buzz, but nothing that will keep you awake -- on the lowest setting it's whisper quiet and creates a nice breeze. The LED lights are nice, with a great dimming range. Although, like most fan lights, it requires you to cycle through the entire range every time you want to change the brightness.We went with the Mahogany to match our furniture, and the mount and blades have a nice color and texture.It took about 10 minutes to install into an existing ceiling fan box.Our only issue was the glass cover was cracked, perhaps during shipping. I contacted the vendor, 'Home of Decor', and they responded quickly, sending a replacement within the week.There's also a wood cover included, if you don't need the light.

Easy Install, not as Quiet as other Fans
The Minka-Aire F519-MG 52 inch Concept II fan was easier to install than most fans due to fewer parts and a built in hanger to hold the fan while connecting the electrical connections. The fan is not as quiet as I had hoped; we have a Kichler ceiling fan in our bedroom that is silent and pushes more air. The Minka-Aire's blades when set to medium or high make a swooshing sound that is very noticeable. My biggest disappointment is in the light, it is very dim. I just ordered a different bulb in hopes of helping this serious problem. If the new bulb doesn't rectify the problem I will most likely return the fan. Overall there must be better ceiling hugging fans out there even if they cost more.

BEAUTIFUL BUT...
THIS FAN IS GORGEOUS BUT THE LIGHT IS VERY DIM. I PLACED A DIMMER SWITCH AND THE BRIGHTEST IT GETS IS ACTUALLY NOT THAT BRIGHT. I HAVE IT IN THE BEDROOM SO ITS OK BUT IF YOU WERE TO PLACE IT IN ANY OTHER ROOM THIS LIGHT IS VERY DIM AND YOU WOULD PROBABLY NEED EXTRA LIGHTING IN THE ROOM. SO IT ALL DEPENDS WHERE YOU WANT TO PLACE IT

High style, adequate performance
I now have two of these very stylish fans in my great room. I have another Minka in my master bedroom. While the flush mount does tend to decrease the air flow around the blades, thus reducing the impact of cooling, there is enough air flow. I have 9.5 foot ceilings. Again, the reliable motor, quiet operation and style win the day, at least for me.

Nice fan, lousy light
The good news is that it appears to be a quality unit and the installation could not have been easier. The bad news is that the light output is pathetic. Although the advertising blurb says that comes with a 100 W bulb, it looks more like a 40 W output...

Worth the money!
This is the third fan of this exact model (with the exception of the finish) that I have replaced existing fans with and they are excellent. Air flow with the 3 blades is better than the 5 blade fans they replaced. The unit is a breeze to install as a replacement and easier than the fans I initially installed (after you've installed the electrical box and wiring.) The fan comes with a three-speed remote transmitter and the receiver is already mounted in the fan housing. No need for a wall switch. Only two wires to connect. The fan grounds through it's mounting plate (providing that your electrical box is grounded.)
