This started as a 5-star product but that changed last night. Overall the product worked exactly as described. The timer was accurate and the settings were easy to change. My only complaint at first was the feel/snap when removing the lid. Felt like it might break or wear out eventually. But the real kicker is that our cat already figured out how to remove the lid to expose all six portions. He puts one paw in the empty cup, grips the lid with his teeth, and pulls hard. Lid pops right off. And it can’t be weighed down or secured since that would prevent it from turning (defeating the whole point of the feeder). Without the ability to lock the lid, this product is useless. If you have a smart, determined, jerk of a cat then move along.

I wish this had been designed to rotate the lower pice instead of the top - the opening rotates so you need enough space that your animal can stand on any side of the feeder to eat. It would have been nice if the opening remained and the lower portion rotated.The first set of batteries lasted about a month, which doesn't seem like very long.Overall, it's functional and it's better than manually feeding.

It only took my cat three days to figure out how to get the top to move so he can get the rest of the food out. Totally wasted my money on it. Defeats the purpose when they can eat everything in it while you are gone.
