Large, bulky, and heavy for the amount of flame it produces. Ad with picture of flames are nothing like what it actually produces. It is actually about the same effect, as well as blue and white flame color, as turning on and watching the burner on your gas stove.Instructions are worthless - 11 pages of safety - 1/2 page on wall mounting, and only a picture for assembly. The burner can be installed 2 ways - flame being closer to the glass or the back - with no explanation of which is preferable (OR SAFER!).Burner cover (adjustment) is just an unattached metal plate that rests on the top and is a bit awkward to slide evenly. Other burners that I have used have an attached plate that easily slide evenly for adjustment and extinguishing.Does not give off any substantial heat, other than directly above the unit. Does not elevate the temperature of a room, which may be a positive option for being able to use it during the summer months.If you want something inexpensive and without a lot of installation issues, this unit is fine.

Looks good, works better. Very happy with my purchase. My only concern is if the burner would need replacement in the future or not.
