KOHLERK-4695-0 Ridgewood Molded-Wood with Color-Matched Plastic Hinges Round-front Toilet Seat, White

A classic, heavy, round toilet-seat. It has a mild bevel around the outside of the lid, which doesn't exactly match my ca.1998 Kohler toilet, but doesn't clash either. The color/finish match perfectly.The seat is made of the classic wood/plastic blend, rather than lightweight all-plastic, like some newer seats. That means it will bang when you set it down hard, but the lid doesn't flex or crack if somebody sits down on it.More importantly, this has the classic mounting hinges, rather than the "quick-release" flexible hinges the plastic-lids have. Those quick-release hinges always wobble, so the nuts work loose, until the seat is only loosely attached. I've experienced this on multiple Kohler seats, two toilets, different models. So I'm avoiding them-- besides, how often do you need to remove your toilet-seat?? Maybe in a public restroom or if you have multiple male children in the house (I'm sorry, if so), and you need to do some serious sanitizing on a regular basis. But I keep a rather clean house, and I've never wanted to remove my toilet seats for any reason other than replacing them (and that's once a decade). So I'll stick to this classic hinge/connector that I don't have to re-tighten monthly.I noticed the same model seat at a local big-box DIY store. It's notably cheaper here and with Prime shipping, it was an easy decision to replace my stained old seat.Recommended.

Easy to assemblr

Needed a new seat for our new toilet. The toilet is a Kohler and I figured that it would best to purchase their seat as it should be the perfect fit. Not really so... Well, only off a little, but enough for the wife to notice. I have to admit that I noticed it too but was willing to live with it. For some reason the toilet shape is just a bit longer to the front than the seat so about 1/4" or so of the toilet sticks out past the seat tip. No adjustment was able to correct this. We ended up installing a handicap booster seat between so it no longer is an issue. Other than that we like the seat.Included is the seat itself and the hardware for mounting. It is a very easy install and no real tools are needed. Even knowing the shape difference we would still purchase it again.

Believe me when I say that this is the easiest toilet seat to install! I have never changed a toilet seat before in my life. I watched 1 min of a toilet install video and then my kid ran away with my phone. So I figured it out as I went I didn’t even have to look at the manual it was that easy! My previous was the same installation method so taking the old one out and installing the new one was super duper easy! Not sure about the durability but it seems like good quality material for the price! I would recommend it to others!

This is a lower end seat at an affordable price. Moves around when a larger, heavier uses it. For larger folks, I recommend spending more to get a heavier duty model.

A great inexpensive replacement for the seat of honor. The plastic hardware with the self-holding nuts made it much easier to install than other brands. I especially like the fact that it's very shiny, smooth and slick, even the hardware covers, which makes it super easy to keep spotless. As long as it holds up to cleaning through time, I'll be happy.

Never thought a new toilet seat could make your toilet look like a new one! I recommend this toilet seat!!

I'm writing a review for a toilet seat.It was easy to put on, took 5 minutes tops. Like a lot of the reviews it does slide to one side. It's a shiny toilet seat.I do have a small complaint, the opening is very wide and I almost fell in. I suppose my bottom isn't large but I wouldn't say it's small. If I had small children they'd surely be taking a dip.This seat will do the job for a while. Next time I'll be sure to seek out a seat that is more "fitting".

Very comfortable to sit on. It is firm and doesn't move around.

Seems like a nice enough toilet seat. I was surprised that it isn't quick release. You have to undo the toilet seat hinge bolts to take it off to clean. My fault for not reading the product description closer. I had assumed all toilet seats were quick release now.
