LUX Essentials Deluxe Double Coil Milk Frother Latte Maker Cappuccino Frother

This little gadget works great! I do find the more fat in the milk the better the foam holds up. IE: two percent milk works better than one percent or non-dairy for instance. I put some milk in a large mug along with sweetener. Microwave it for 30 sec then whip it up to about an inch from the top of the mug. This takes about 15 to 30 sec. A half inch of milk will fill the entire mug and then some if you keep whipping it. I then brew my single cup coffee over the top and it turns out delicious. The froth makes the coffee creamy and keeps frothy and foamy till the last drop. Have been using it now for a couple of months and the battery is still going. Awesome!

Looked at sooooooo many battery operated hand-held milk frothers here on Amazon, and could not find one that did not get slammed by enough people for me to pay attention. Or, that were not the best thing to hit the frothing world ever according to the mostly "un-biased got this for free or reduced cost" consumers. So decided to go with the least expensive one so that if it was junk, I would not care so much. Super surprised to get an item that is worth more than what I paid. I have used it each day for coffee, and even once made a fairly decent whipped cream from it. All of this from cold almond milk (since I am dairy free). I would imagine it would work even better with regular milk. Makes a thick enough froth that holds up very well. At the end of drinking my coffee, there is a nice foam ball in the cup for the last yummy sips. Has a flat top so it stands on the counter. So no stand necessary. As mentioned by other reviewers, the battery cover needs to be opened with a screw driver edge, but pops off easily when doing so. Also, I wish the metal wand part was about another two inches longer. But really a non-issue, just a preference. Again, well worth the price and works!

Loving how fast it beats up whipping cream for my coffee. Even if I mix with milk it still beats it up like whipped cream. Loving the speed and the quality. It is hard to open the battery case so I needed some tools for that but that may be an advantage (I drop things). I have had it now for a week and used it every day, battery is not wearing off either so it is efficient. I have two types and this is way better for real whipping! Also cleaning is really easy since you run it under hot water and turn it on for a sec... it whips the water while it gets clean.UPDATE: I originally gave a 5* review for this product. I truly loved it until within a 5 weeks of buying it, it just simply stopped working. I just finished whipping a little coffee mug half filled with whipping cream and just as I pulled it out, kaput. I tried everything, changing battery, cleaning battery location, you name it, I tried it. Dead as a rock. I am now gun shy and ordered a different kind with same day delivery and a second one for backup with regular deliver--different brand--to make sure this never happens again! Ridiculous. Right in holiday season this is NOT what one expects!

had the opportunity to compare the LUX Essentials with the Kuisessential frother.The Kuisessntial is a good frother, but the electric press switch on the top of the device is not well constructed and frequently fails after many uses. This requires that you purchase new ones to replace the ones' where the on-off switch has failed.The Kuisessential frother has a smaller single metal swirl at the bottom, whereas the Lux has a double metal swirl. The double swirl creates smaller bubbles and a very smooth froth, however if you don't use it right, it also swirls milk up over the top of the cup.I gave the LUX Essential 4 stars now because I don't know how long the on/off switch will last. If it lasts longer than the Kuissential, I will come back and give it 5 stars. I also now know how to use the LUX so it does not swirl milk over the top of the cuff and leave a mess.When using the LUX, you need to keep the metal swirl down at the bottom of the cup while starting the process...and let the device do the work. Using the Kuisessential is different. You move the device off the bottom of the cup and go back and forth.

I have 5 frothers - always trying to find the perfect one. This comes close. I am running out of space so I may have to deem this my fave! I t does a pretty good job on coffee creamers (Coffee Mate) but still waiting for one that REALLY does the job or maybe Coffee Mate can change the formula.UPDATE After a few weeks of occasional use this frother added much humor to my life. It often does not stop on command, Sometimes it won't start on command. The best one: I was having breakfast and I thought someone was using a weed eater outside my kitchen window. No - the frother started going on its own. This happened twice so it has been sent to the woodshed.

Received this in my Christmas stocking. It was a great idea! Cheap and did the job of frothing a little milk for my coffee once or twice a day. Made tiny servings of whipped cream for my kids a few times as well. After about two weeks of light use (1-2 times a day, so no more than 30 uses) the on-off switch stopped working. It would keep spinning when I wanted to turn it off and I would have to pull the frother from the cup and splatter a little milk on the counter, remove the batteries to turn it off and clean up. It was cheap so I suffered the inconvenience for a few weeks but found I used it less and less. After just two months the motor burned out. Will not replace with the same item.

I received this as a Christmas gift and I LOVE this frother. It is extremely powerful; I've even been able to make whipped cream with it! It works great for frothing the milk for my lattes and I use it almost daily.We had one issue with the power button malfunctioning so the frother wouldn't turn off. When we got in touch with LUX Essentials, they replied to our email within an hour and sent us a replacement unit no questions asked.Bottom line: Love the product. Love the customer service. Will definitely buy from LUX Essentials again.
