My can absolutely loves this thing! I have purchased various scratching posts and pads, but there is something about this one he likes more than the others. He doesn't really get inside, he just enjoys the scratching part. That's fine with me since that's the main reason I got it. As much as he uses it the rope is still in great shape, so I can see this lasting for a very long time. If it ever needs to be replaced I will definitely get another.

It’s adorable and kitty approved
OMG! My cat who only likes boxes normally, absolutely loves this. I put catnip in the top and he goes crazy. I wasn’t sure he would fit in it because he is about 15 pounds. He fits perfectly inside and lays in there every chance he gets. It’s adorable and kitty approved!

Bits of Carpet...
My cats love it, but I'm picking up tiny pieces of red carpet all over my apartment. Perhaps two frisky kittens are just too much for it?

Fun little hiding hole.
This scratching pad is a fun fish shape. My little kitten likes to hide in the hole and dart out and “surprise” us. My daughter who is a year and a half thinks it’s a chair and it actually works pretty well for that as well and the cat doesn’t mind. It has giving the cat something to scratch so that we don’t have to get onto her for scratching things she’s not supposed to. It’s pretty solidly put together and the scratching is not destroying it too fast although I think it will give out sooner than I would have expected.

Our cat looooves to destroy this fish.
After much work, day in and day out, our cat finally destroyed his first fish, and we bought him a second, so he's thrilled. He stands on top of it, to show off how tall he is, and rips into the thing as if he were a bear sharpening on a hollow log. It's noisy enough to remind us to praise him, but not noisy enough to be annoying. Previously he had ripped up our wall-to-wall carpet. Now the fish is pretty much the only place he sharpens. (He also fake-sharpens on door frames, to show off how tall he is.)He'll crawl inside the fish a couple times when it's new, but it's not a great hidey hole -- too small (cat is just under 11 pounds), and open on both sides. It's good for play, though, with the cat and the toy on opposite sides of the fish.

Best cat scratcher ever!
I love this cat scratching fish! My cat uses it all the time and no cardboard shreds to clean up. It really sturdy. My 16.9 pound cat uses it all the time! This is our second one. This is our favorite by far.

Really nice product, very decorative
I really like this product. I wish it came in two different sizes, this one is mainly for smaller cats. I love it though.

Cat likes it.
Not for a 20 plus lbs cat. But for normal size, she loves it.
