I love the Samsung WB1100F
Good afternoon from sunny Orlando, FL. I ordered the Samsung WB1100F in red for my trip to Cairo, Egypt in less than a week, My initial thoughts are as follows:I wanted a camera with wifi so I could post pictures on the run. I have a hotspot so wifi is always available. After opening the box and playing around with buttons I took my first picture. I have the cutest puppy in the world and I need to share her perfect face with the facebook world. I snapped the picture and went to task to post the picture asap! (I hate instruction books) so I fumbled my way through the setup process. I have to say it went rather well. I personally find the camera intuitive. I was setup and logged in to facebook in just a few short minutes. Then BAM! My picture was posted for the world to see.The picture itself was awesome. The zoom is very good and the lens picked up all the adorable features of Chi Chi's face.Again this is just a quick one off review. I will be back in a couple of weeks to tell you all about Egypt and the (hopefully) amazing pictures and videos I took!*****************************************Good afternoon. Sorry for the delay on updating my review but I work 6 day's/ 24 hours a day. So here we go... I LOVE THIS CAMERA!The zoom is excellent! Traveling around Cairo, Giza and Alexandria there are endless opportunities to be a shutterbug! I am a novice when it comes to taking pictures but the Samsung WB1100F made me feel like the next Ansel Adams! The wifi feature (which I thought I had to have) is an excellent gadget but not always practical when using. It can be very slow. I can say it was not the WIFI connection because I was using WIFI for other things at different times. However I am glad to have the option because I did use it from time to time. There are many settings and I'm still learning the pros and cons of each one. The Samsung feels VERY comfortable in my hand as I'm taking pictures. The battery life was good overall but I will buy an additional backup battery. (just because I want it, the Samsung never died one me during my 8-10 hour days out and about shooting photos)Again I LOVE the camera! I love Egypt! I love Egypt so much in fact I am returning July 3 for a week but this time for real R&R but I will have my Samsung WB1100F in hand for some amazing sunsets and great history!

Camera has a defect, Software isn't up to date
I got this camera in good time. It looked good and I took a picture, thinking all was well. I checked pictures on my computer later and found a shadow of red color covering half the image. It's too late to return it now. I suspect this was a used item, and I don't remember that in the write-up. It didn't come in the original packing or have any warranty or user manual. I know I was slow to check this out, but this isn't a satisfactory item. Also, the wifi connectivity part of this camera is out of date. The app to work with the camera doesn't work. An alternative app isn't available.

Camera body is beautiful. Some of the pictures can come out really well. Camera has a hard time auto focusing when zooming in anything more than just a tiny bit. Camera does not do as well in dimmer lighting. It's internal microphone does a fantastic job at picking up sounds. I was a little bummed about it's quality in dim places as I was planning on using it at my wedding. It picked things up, but they were so grainy, and fuzzy, and they just didn't turn out that great. I am also quite upset that there is only auto focus available and it doesn't do a great job in that area. I think that could be easily fixed if there were more manual options. The camera is not a bad purchase for every day photos at all. It can catch some really great shots. It is worth the buy as long as you have good lighting, or aren't planning on using it for dim lighted weddings like I did. I am glad we had other photographers as well for that though. I would recommend this overall to someone who just enjoys taking pictures as a hobby.

One of the best
So I recently purchased this camera, and for only having it for a few days, I already know it's an awesome camera. I consider myself a mediocre photographer, mostly specializing in macro photos (close up). After messing around with the manual settings, I found that this camera offers a surprising clarity for macro shots when the correct settings are turned on. I've already taken some really good shots, one of them for sure I will be adding to my portfolio. That's probably the main feature I love, along with the wifi connectivity feature. This seems like it would be complicated but it was easy, I never had to even glance at the directions. Very straight forward guidance. And the transferring of photos from my camera to my Samsung phone was also very simple and easy. Overall, great camera.

I was real happy with this camera when I bought it
I was real happy with this camera when I bought it, but it soon developed a problem where it had a yellowish discolor over about 2/3 of the picture, through the lens and then in the actual photos uploaded on the computer or printed. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but as the problem became more persistent I finally had to give up and send it back to Samsung for repairs.I just got the camera back, but I will be honest, I am not happy that I had to send it in to be fixed - I am careful with my stuff, and I know it was not dropped (and to their credit they never said that it had damage from being dropped). I just don't think a problem should have developed in the first place. Time will tell if the problem is actually fixed. According to the paperwork, they replaced a major part. If that one goes bad, I will be going back to a different brand. On the plus side, it has a very nice zoom and the wifi feature is great.Oh, another negative feature is that if you forget to take the lens cap off, you have to turn the blame thing off instead of just removing the lens cap. That is kind of stupid. It should be able to tell the cap has been removed.
