A question of texture.
So you remove the egg from its shell, put it into a different shell, and cook it in simmering hot water. Does this produce a poached egg or a boiled egg? It certainly does not produce the kind of poached egg I used to be familiar with.

Three Stars
Very flimsy- water needs to boil for poached eggs, which would then overflow in containers.

I gave them away.
It's okay, but not stable enough for an 80 year old.

Cute blue cups a bit topsy
Still hard to get the little cups out of the water and onto the toast. I will keep practicing.

A good idea...that definitely needs improvement!
Great idea, easy to use (putting into the pan of water). However, we have followed the directions to the letter and the egg sticks to the silicone cup. This has happened every time we use it. The egg has to be scooped out, and egg residue is left in the silicone cup. Would NOT buy again, it's too much trouble!

Theyre cute... They dont work.
I dont like leaving bad reviews.... I have FAILED making over 20 eggs using these in hopes I would figure it out. I LOVE cooking. I have been cooking/baking since I was 6 years old. I have tried my best to get these things to work. Ive used different pots to boil... Trying to put them in simmering.... Lid on... Lid off... NOTHING I have tried has made an acceptable poached egg so far. The water totally boiled up and over the pot once all of the water mixed with my egg..... Water gets in them everytime. I pull them out on the timer... Not done... Then theyre over done...Ive honestly had better luck with a ziplock bag and skewer stick than these bowls...:(

makes best poached eggs ever
When I received this poacher it didn't come with instructions but some guy at the company named Bruce sent me an e-mail with good instructions. The best instruction was to use cooking oil in the cup and use a lid. I have been poaching eggs for my cooking lifetime and you will never get a better poached egg than you can get with this product. I am thinking of buying more for gifts to my siblings'.
