Excellent picture quality. Bang for your buck the best camera out there.
Excellent picture quality. Bang for your buck. The best camera out there. If you have Canon EF lenses like I do, this is the absolute best camera for you. I have been using my Canon lenses and my SLR. When I read about this camera I thought it would be an excellent purchase. I have started using it.PROS: At the ocean when I first purchased it, the images for both video and still shots were absolutely astounding. Inputs and outputs are excellent except the HDMI 1080p output is high DEF and not 4K. As you can see in the photographs I have a 7 inch version of the Blackmagic video assist 7 inch 12 G HDR monitor. (The 7” monitor will record 4K.)I called the Blackmagic design support line and immediately talked with one of the techs.I was surprised at how fast I could talk to a human being and not a computer. At any rate, I was told, at this time the camera does not support a 4K HDMI output. They didn’t know if this was going to be possible for the future with upgrades. We will see. I would love to have the HDMI 4K so that I could record directly to V 7 inch video assist.CONS: The monitor on the camera is not very bright! I have the brightness turned to 100% but it is hard to see in sunlight. Probably less than 1000 nits. (7” video assist monitor will go up to 2500 nits.) I have more reading to do!As far as I’m concerned, there is not anything better for the money. But you need a bright video assist for shooting in the sun. THH

Finally!
I waited so long for this camera. I wanted a 4k but then my kid needed braces. Then my wife's car needed tires. Then the 6k came out but my wife's car got stolen, and we needed to replace it. I've been shooting with a Canon T6i and a Panasonic LUMIX G7 in the meantime. I finally managed to have the money for a new camera without an emergency expense popping up (plus the price dropped $500) so I bought it with a V-mount battery. Fantastic footage and so easy to use!
