Used it on a cocktail ottoman whose legs were getting stuck/digging into an area rug. These protectors/felt pads fit perfectly and the ottoman now glides freely on the rug, but still stays in place when you want it to. Since they are rubber, they stretch and conform to the shape/size of the ottoman legs. I suggest taking measurements to make sure you get the right size for the furniture piece you will be installing them on.

These work great, and look hardly noticeable on my old wood kitchen chairs. My chair legs are round, 1 inch in diameter. I ordered the 3/4 to 1 inch size, not the 1- 1 1/4 size because the chairs are on a rough, non-slip kitchen tile floor (not easy to slide on ) and the caps moving. The caps don't slide on easy if they fit right. But it wasn't a problem, I just had to use a butter knife as a sort of "shoe horn" on the final flap to get them on. Keep trying if it's just a little bit tough to get them on. If they just plunk on, they'll probably wobble around and wear faster. Time will tell how quickly the thin felt bit wears down, but sticking a felt disk to the outside of this cap, if I have to, will be way better than trying to get a felt disk to stay on unevenly worn wooden bottoms. So sick of peeling that sticky residue off the floor with Goo Gone from other types of chair protectors. Very happy.

I bought these because our kitchen chairs were scratching the news vinyl plank floor. They were easy to install. We ordered them a tiny bit small and kinda had to jam the on but once on they fit perfectly and it’s now easy to move the chairs without damaging the floor.

I've just recently installed these on 3 of my chairs and they work perfectly! They were easy to install, and in my case I did NOT need to boil water, they slipped on and are staying on snugly, all the while protecting my wood floor from scratches!Great product, would buy again! (Note, I did not rate for durability simply because I've not had them long enough to do so, but I will update my review in time accordingly.)

Not sure how long will last but we just put these on our chairs. They slide good and nice felt on bottom. We really had to stretch the vinyl before putting on chair leg to get to fit. However we would not have wanted bigger it would not have stayed in place. Once you get them stretched to fit they are great, clear so you don't see them and they definitely won't fall off. Will just need to time to see how long the plastic will last before they rip. so far very impressed. Ordered a 2nd set to have ready.

They are easily put on, unfortunately--they easily fall off. They are not tall enough to stay on my chair legs. When a person slides the chair in or out--they come off, and that has created a tipping hazard for the chair and person in it. Will try a different brand, I can no longer find the original brand I had on my chairs . I tried these because they looked like they would be a snug fit, but it hasn't turned out that way even though according to dimensions, they should fit.

Great product! I thought I had purchased the wrong size initially. I was in the process of returning it when I saw the note inside that directed me to place the caps in boiling water to soften the silicone. 15 minutes later my four chairs have caps on the legs and I've canceled my return. My chairs are clunky, bulky and wooden, but these floor protectors are discreet and make them glide over my kitchen floor so smoothly. Now I'm protecting the tile floors and not disturbing my downstairs neighbor. Five stars!

We have chairs with hollow steel legs and plastic end caps (plugs). To prevent marring hardwood floors, we have used a variety of products that basically put a layer of felt or fabric between the end caps and the floor. All have worked for a while, but in time the fabric is worn through, or in some cases, the sleeve has come off. This product solves one of the issues: the sleeve. This is a clear, silicon sleeve that fits very securely onto the post of the leg. (Be sure to measure accurately as these come in different sizes.) An excellent grip, and being clear, they are unobtrusive. But it is really stretching it to call the bottom a "felt pad." As you can see in the photo, at best this disk of material is 1.2mm thick. In our high-use chairs, I doubt these will last more than a month. To be fair, because the bottom surface of the sleeve is flat, it will be easy enough to simply stick on new felt pads. Just be aware of how thin the felt pad is. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.
