(Pack of 4) PacLights 2ft (24 inch) 8-watt LED, Neutral White 4500k T8 Linear Tube LED Light Bulb, No Ballast Required

UPDATE: Changed my rating from 4 to 1 star. These light don't last anywhere near 50,000 hours. I've had 12 of them for 3 years and half of them have failed in the last couple of months. I might have them on 10 hrs a day at most. That's only 10,000 hours. I've tried contacting the selling to get replacements, but not response.I've ordered 3 packs of these lights so far and they are great lights. The re-wiring is easy and something anyone with a little bit of electrical knowledge can do. It takes 5 minutes per fixture after you've done a couple. There are several how-to videos out there that show how to do it too. Just google "converting fluorescent to LED" and look for one that talks about double-ended tubes.Giving 4 stars because out of the 12 tubes that I've received, 1 was dead. I contacted PacLights and they wanted me to ship an entire box of 4 tubes back to Amazon for a replacement. I didn't want the hassle of that because I already had the other 3 installed (and fixtures re-wired). I ended up taking the bad tube apart, found the problem (a loose wire), and was able to fix it with a soldering iron. I am pretty sure the wire was torn off during shipping. They could probably improve the design of these a little so that they can withstand being tossed around in shipping a bit better.

Replaced the 24 inch fluorescent tubes in our under-cabinet light fixtures. The ballast in these fixtures had become loud, I hardly ever turned them on. Did this while my husband was on a business trip. When he was home again and we were sitting in the kitchen at the island, I asked him "Do you hear that?" He looked around and said "I don't hear anything." I said, "Isn't that wonderful, see all the under-cabinet lights are on."

These leds are the cat's meow. I love them. The lights are very bright! One almost needs sunglasses when they are on. Everyone should have several of these.

POS:I'm always concern about ordering fragile and sensitive electronics item, bulbs, etc.Tired of wasting my time returning broken, damage led light BUT WONT HAPPENS WITH THIS SELLER. Beautiful white led light. Easy to install is you have basic skills.Needs to rewired old system, get away of ballast and starter. Get help of a knowable electrician if no idea what to do.NEG:Price increased !!!! and no shipping to my country Sad!!!!!!!NO T8 LAMP HOLDER INCLUDED.

Product arrived in good condition and works as expected. As advertised, instructions for removing the ballast and/or starter were in box.Unlike florescent tubes, most of the light is directed "down" when ceiling mounted, putting more of the light where it is needed most. Unfortunately, my closet lights are wall mounted above the door, so it ended up lighting out towards the top shelf, rather than down towards the clothes. I fixed this by remounting the fixture on its side.Lost a star because delivery was estimated at 10 to 24 days, but actually took 58 days to get from China to USA.

These lights provide a lot of light over my kitchen sink. I didn't realize just how little I was getting out of the old fluorescent bulbs they replaced. Rewiring the existing fixture to bypass the ballast was simple and easy. And, with two bulbs left over (I only needed 2), I should have light for about the next 40 years.

Works great; lights are very bright; i was hesitant on purchase due to having to bypass the ballast, after reading other comments, i went ahead and purchased this; i first cut wires from the right side of the ballast (connected to black wire); rewired to wires on the right side coming out from the tombstones; i then cut wires on the left of the ballast and connect the wires to the white wire; i didn't touch the ground wire; based on the little wiring diagram i didn't check whether the tombstones were shunted or not;

I have purchased a lot of led tubes.. Probably about 300+, for my company, from different sources via alibaba and aliexpress.Almost all of them were quite good.These lights seem to be the next generation from my prior purchase.. the led is one integrated long chip.Seems to work fine
